August, 8 BP – Before Peace
No one knows if it's morning or afternoon in Auldrant. As the cloudy skies blocked the sun from appearing and only silvers of sunlight were appearing, they couldn't exactly pinpoint where the sun's exact location is.
Yasaka was asleep in his office, drooling slightly against the desk. He had used the scattered paperwork around his head as a temporary pillow. Strangely enough, the drool had not touched any paperwork, just the desk itself.
After successfully defending Auldrant from the Far East, Yasaka had been getting more and more threatening mails from the Supreme Lord, demanding compensation for his lost troops. The red-haired man had been annoyed by it, until Higokaru came up with a solution.
Burn it. And burn it he did. He just threw it into a playing card Higokaru had, which was absorbed, then burned by itself.
About the prisoner they had taken, she was awake, sure. But she wouldn't speak to anyone, and had to be restrained as to not break out. Right now she was kept in his basement while being provided enough provisions to live.
Yasaka had made plans to visit her himself, but he was too lazy to go do it. Besides, he was stuck here with the mountains of paperwork that seemed to be increasing by each passing day and not letting up at all. He'd probably send Rufus or Dominic to persuade her.
...Dominic it is.
"Hey, hey! The boss is-" Yasaka heard someone shouting behind the door, but as he had just awoken from slumber, he didn't recognize the voice through his muddled mind. It took the office door slamming open to jolt him fully.
"W-wha?" Yasaka realized that someone had entered the office and quickly straightened his spine while wiping a bit of drool of his face. As he focused his eyes, he could see the visitor more clearly. Not like he could see the visitor before, with his face pressed against the desk.
"Hi there!" The visitor was a young man, probably about 21 years old, with blonde hair that was swept to the side and with a single bang between his eyes. His eyes were a cross between turquoise and light blue, as if the color of ice was reflected in those orbs. He wore a casual blue shirt under a dark blue winter coat with brown fur, and black pants. From this angle, Yasaka saw the visitor wearing blue hiking shoes.
"Who are you and what is your purpose coming here?" Yasaka asked in the most formal tone he could muster, but seeing as he just woke up, he didn't give much effort to formalize his words. He saw the newcomer smile jovially.
"I'm Teddie! Hi! I came here because Sensei told me to!" Yasaka almost snickered. The thought of a man being named Teddie of all names was quickly placed aside in favor of asking another question. He had to hold his snickering though.
"Sensei? Who's that?" Yasaka carefully kept his face composed despite a smile blooming across his face. Man, this Teddie guy sure knows how to lighten the atmosphere. After a while, Teddie answered.
"You don't know Sensei? I'd thought he'd be popular by now." So Teddie's 'sensei' is a male. But Yasaka still had too little information to go on.
"No, Teddie. I don't know." It was like speaking to a child. Yasaka found it weird-sounding. The young teen (or man) in front of him didn't seem to mind though. Instead he shrugged it off.
"Well, I'm sure you'll see him eventually. He's-" Teddie's words were cut off as Higokaru slammed the door open, splintering parts of it off. Yasaka winced. Higokaru must be getting revenge for having his own guild's doors barged open.
"BOSS! I got news! The usual ones!" Yasaka winced again as Higokaru's loud shouting attracted the visitor's attention. Way to be courteous, Higokaru. But if he had come bearing 'usual' news, then it means something bad or disastrous is going to happen.
