If I tell you I love you
Will you tell me the same?
Or leave me
And hide in your darkness,
What will you proclaim?
If I extended my reach
Would you extend yours
Or would you turn away
And close the doors
If I went to you
Would you receive my love
that burns like an inferno inside of me
Higher thank the heavens above
Or would you reject me
And leave this never ending sea
For which it is created out of love
And what if I told you I have already done these things
For that is who I AM.

God's love for us is never ending!
He proclaims His love for us boldly. So boldly that He took our punishment; He defeated death on the cross. He tore down the separation from Him by coming to us, by extending His hand, and calling us His children adopted through Christ.
And although He knows all, He asks you the question, will you receive Him? He asks this so you know the contents of your heart and come to the realization that you need him. He asks you this so that you're drawn from yourself to be aware of how much you you need His love from Him and to show you His great love.
