I couldn't breath. I couldn't move. It was almost as if I was completely frozen in my spot. And right now my "spot" was under Luke Parker. I have honesty never been so nervous in my life, the schools most dangerous bad boy was hovering over top of me with his face merely a few inches away from mine.
Our gases were locked on each other and neither of us made any sort of move to break the contact. It was almost like they're was a wall behind his eyes. I couldn't read anything in his eyes, all I saw was coldness and anything else was blank.
I always thought that reading somebody was fairly easy. That was before I met Luke Parker. There is nothing easy about him, he has a guard up, and a big one at it. But I can't blame him... We live in a scary world and I can't imagine what he had been through. When I looked into his eyes all I wanted to do was break down his wall, I want to know who the real Luke Parker is. I want to be the one who breaks down his wall. What is he hiding.
He must have decided that we had been staying into each other's eyes for too long because he decided to break or eye contact by shifting his gaze from my eyes down to my lips. I started to become a little nervous and I licked my lips. But Luke must have not liked my action because he groaned and shifted off of me and Went back up to sit on the counter. Crap. I completely forgot that he was hurt. I quickly got up and went to the side of the vanity from where I put it and grabbed the first aid kit.
"Um right so about that cut..." I trailed off, not really sure about what to do or say at a time like this.
"I don't care," he mumbled. What's his problem now, I swear I will never understand this boy.
"What do you mean?" I asked with confusion clearly written all over my face. He never made eye contact with me, it was almost as if he was hiding something from me, but that wouldn't surprise me.
"I mean that it's not like this is the first time that i got hurt, it's no big deal," he mumbled. Even as he spoke he never once made eye contact, his eyes were focusing on anything that wasn't me. I really wanted to push him to see if i could get a better answer out of it, but i decided against it seeming that it wasn't the time for such questions...especially after our little moment just minutes ago.
I walked away from his sitting figure to go and get a new towel and some disinfectant wipes since i used up all of the ones in the first aide kit. Once I came back he looked a little confused at first but you could see his face drop even more, if that was even possible, when he realized what I was going to do.
"I told you, I don't need you to clean it up. I'm fine," he whined. Dang, even when he whined he still managed to look cute.... wait. Did i just think that Luke Parker was cute? That thought shouldn't even be possible to enter any humans' mind. Let alone my mind.
"You're not fine," I scolded. "If it doesn't get cleaned up then it could get infected." wow I probably sound like his mom.
"Whatever, let's just get this over with," annoyance was obviously was laced in his voice.
As I was cleaning his cut it dawned on me that he never really told me why he was hurt in the first place. Should I ask him? What if he gets all rude and snappy again and he just storms out. As I was contemplating on whether I should ask him or not he seemed to notice that I was thinking about something.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked, curiosity barely laced in his voice. I could tell that he was trying to care but it didn't really bother him.
"Nothing important honestly," I replied with my head down. He placed his finger under my chin to lift it up so that I was looking straight into his beautiful eyes.
"If it's nothing important than why won't you tell me?" Damn, he does have a point and he knew it too. He had his signature smirk stretched across his face.
"It's nothing important to it doesn't really matter if you know or don't know," now it was my turn to smirk. He looked a little shocked at my response but he quickly covered it back up.
"Well if you don't tell me then ill just have to force it out of you," he drawled. I didn't get time to process what he meant because when I looked at him he smiled and quickly started tickling my sides. How he knew I was ticklish was beyond me but I started laughing uncontrollably.
"No, n...o, no p....please s...st...stop" I screamed between laughs. But it was no use because he was way stronger then me so I wasn't going to be able to stop him, especially since I had fallen on the floor and he had came down with me. His knees were rested on my arms so I wasn't able to push him off of me. He just laughed at me
"I'll stop if you just simply tell me what you were thinking about," will he just let this go?
"Fine. Fine. Fine. I'll tell you but it was more of a question than a statement," I told him honestly while gasping to catch my breathe from being tickled so much. He slowly got off of me watching my every move.
"I was just wondering why you got hurt and what you did to deserve to get beaten," I muttered. It took me a minute to realize that he hadn't said anything, I looked up just to see that he was looking right back at me.
