3. Mama what's wrong?

//Matthew is 6 and Lucille is 10. Also all chapters are going to be in Alfred's point of view or otherwise stated ahead of time.\\

"Lucy, what's wrong with Mama? Why does she keep going to the hospital?"

Lucille put her book down to look at her younger brother. "I don't know Mattie. I just hope she's okay."

"Then why is Papa always smiling whenever they come back?"

"I told you I don't know Matthew!" My eyes widened, Lucille never yelled at us. I made Matthew pick up his blocks before we left the room.

I'll just ask Papa, he never lies to me. Matthew thought.

But Papa wasn't home, he was working. He worked at this cute little café a few blocks down the street and was a chef there. Mama wasn't home either, she was at the Photoshop like usual. Mama took pictures scenery and had copies of her favorite pieces hanging in hallways and the rooms.

We just waited for them to come home considering Lucille was the one supposed to be Mattie.

Dinner was when we made Mattie go and ask them the questions we were pondering.

"Mama are you okay?" Mattie asked, I had Feli man the controls so we could look a bit worried.

"Yes Matthieu. Why is something wrong baby?" Jeanne had a distressed look on her face. It was working.

"Lucy and me think your sick. Are you?"

"Why don't you tell them Francis?" Mama said a weak smile on her face as she looked at Papa.

"Mathieu, Lucille. Your Mama is pregnant. You're going to 'ave another little sibling." Papa said with a bright smile as he placed his hand on top of Mama's.

"Is it going to be a girl this time? I hope, then I won't have to convince Mattie to play dress up with me no more." Lucille said happily pushing her declining glasses up her nose.

"Luci!" Mama said laughing.

I turned around to the others. "We're getting anther sibling!"

Feli and Feliks were excited and I think even Arthur was smiling. But no sign of Ivan.

Where is that troublemaker?
