"Taeyong, I think we should break up."

Taeyong dropped his spoon, inches away from his plate making a faint sound of click. His smile faded quickly as she heard the words leaving him with his jaw slightly open. How ironic that everything seemed to slow down in an instant, the beautiful music of the orchestra fading into nothingness and all he can hear was his own breathing. He then shook his head and swallowed down the pride he had left, feeling his dry throat that felt like burning but chose to endure whatever was the pain.

"E-Excuse me?" Taeyong asked, his words slow and careful. He hopes he must have misheard her, he hopes that what she just said didn't came from the girl he dearly loves. He reach down for her to place his hand onto hers that's lying on the table but she quickly pulled away before he was able to feel her skin.

"We should break up, Taeyong. I think things won't work between us anymore. I love you, you know that but everything seem to fade as the time passed. You're ambitious, and I support you with your dreams and all but you never had the time for me. I felt empty, and I just lost it. I'm.. I'm sorry." She swallowed down what was left of her as she pierce Taeyong's heart with her words and quickly stood up as the chair made a screeching sound and sauntered her way out leaving the man on his own.

Taeyong let out a weak chuckle as he shook his head again and he knows he would break down any moment now. This day was supposed to be special for him, especially for her. He prepared everything, he cancelled his meeting with another company against his father's wish for the sake of his girlfriend.

His hand travelled its way down to his pocket and pulled out a small box and opened it; there sat at the soft foam was a silver ring with a beautiful shining diamond which he personally pick placed at the center.

He feel a sharp pain in his chest, like a dagger dug its way into his flesh as he sat there, carefully observing the ring and swallowing down his saliva, feeling the burning sensation that was left in his throat. He carefully put it back on its box, and laid it down at the table and breathed deeply, carefully calming his composure with the recent event. Taeyong doesn't like getting emotional in a public place, he made sure that he wouldn't ever dare to cry or show any negative emotion unless it was needed. But no, he wouldn't risk a tear to roll down his face.

Taeyong bit down his lower lip hard enough to taste the metallic taste of his blood slightly oozing out of his freshly wounded lip as he reached out for his leather wallet and placing the money beside the box ring like nothing happened, keeping it professional and walked out and made his way to the parking lot and saw his black car and quickly got himself inside. He stared for a minute, then a quiet sob and his tear started to fall down, slowly then all at once. The young man sat there for hours without anyone by his side, but the silence.

...

"Do you know who this troublesome person is?" he asks as a younger officer gave him papers and a brown envelope as they sauntered their way to the police station where he was called out. Their leather shoes clicking at each step at the marble tile.

"No sir, but he claims that he is your friend and he-" the younger's voice was cut as the older one rushed his way when the word 'friend' was mentioned, his fists clenching the papers that now looks wrinkled. As he got closer to a room, he heard a voice of a man laughing like mad and he clicked his tongue in annoyance.

The man's laugh faded and so does his smile at the sight of the brown haired officer who slammed the door open and throws the papers onto the desk in front of the 'prisoner' who had bandages wrapped around his left hand and over his head and his eyes seemed red and puffy and so does his cheeks.
