rain, rain, go away
come again another day
Strolling around the park was a good idea, until the sky turned grey and he wish he hadn't left his house. But Jaehyun had to pick some ingredients from a nearby grocery store and he thought he could get himself some fresh air. But the weather didn't like him for it. He found himself taking a shelter from a small flower shop as the sky cried upon. And to his unlucky day, it seemed like no taxi cab drives at the street before him.
Trapped, perhaps.
He glanced inside the flower shop through the glass window. It's small, but has a nice interior. And the bouquet of flowers displayed were done beautifully. He could stare at it all day if only he wasn't busy enough. The shop looked empty, even though the sign says 'open'.
Jaehyun let out a sigh as he looked up again to the sky, it got darker somehow as if it doesn't want him to go. "Ah.. What an unlucky day." He mutters under his breath. He glances back to the shop and decides to look at the flowers inside the shop as to make himself look busy while waiting for the rain to pass. The bell above clung as he swung the door open. "Excuse me.." He says, but barely audible.
He observed each flower. They were fresh and the color were rich. The florist could be a woman with delicate hands. He thought. The colors range mostly in orange, yellow, red, red-orange, white and few purples. He was about to leave until a strange looking one caught his eyes. A bouquet of blue flower. He walks to it, as if the things want him to come closer and so he did. He observes it and found it stunning how it look like a fan, but maybe all flowers looked like it. His finger traced its petal, he thought of picking one and could use it as bookmark for the books he read. Flowers make a good bookmark even they withered away. Even dead, the thing still looks beautiful for him, even gone..
"Ah, I never imagined a customer would come. Um, welcome." A voice startles him.
Jaehyun places his hand to his chest that was touching the petal as he lets out a heavy sigh. "Oh god, you surprised me." He says, and looking to the florist which he did not quite expected. A man that stands about 179 cm with hair dyed orange stands before him. He looks like in his 20s and he is smiling there at him. "Uhm, pardon me, I didn't mean to.." The florist walks to him. "It's nice, isn't it? The only blue bouquet here. Ah, dandelion may be my favorite flower but blue is beautiful." Jaehyun watched him talk and he talks with enthusiasm, he could see on his eyes how it sparkle just talking about the thing he loves. "Oh, I'm the florist. Kim Dong Young, but .. just call me Doyoung." He says, smiling as he held out his hand to him.
Jaehyun blinks. He is quite friendly and he looks quite cute. Charming.
"Um, customer?" Doyoung calls out, pulling Jaehyun back to the reality.
"O-Oh.." startling on each word, Doyoung lets out a chuckle. "I'm sorry, I startled you. I-I'm quite nervous when a customer comes it. This shop is small and it rarely attracts customers." He says.
Jaehyun blinks again, twice. He licks his dry lips and fixes himself. "No, no. It's okay. I'm Jaehyun. Ah, I'm sorry, I just took shelter from the rain. I forgot my umbrella at home so..." Doyoung peeks behind him.
"Oh." He mutters.
"Um.. so anyway! That flower... what is it called?" Jaehyun asks, pointing at the bouquet with a smile.
"Oh.. that's an iris flower. It's usually used in weddings, you know when it is themed with blue." Doyoung takes the bouquet. "I thought people know this kind of thing?" he asks. Jaehyung could feel his cheeks heats up, Well damn, I am not a flower expert. He thought. "It's beautiful." He instead replied to him.
