"Oh God I am so hungry now". Anna sat down at the table, wearing a bathrobe and a towel around her damp hair.
"As I remember it, it was you who didn't care for breakfast half an hour ago". Tom said chuckling as he sat down across the table.
She stuck out her tongue. "Bah you definitely wasn't thinking about food either, and it is not my fault that you have that effect on me".
"Is it my fault, I can't help it". He tilted his head, sending her the most adorable puppy dog eyes.
She looked at him very sincere. "You could stop being so God damn perfect, so sweet, so helpful, so good looking and so ridiculously sexy".
He grinned blushing. "You might be just a bit impartial in you judgment of me".
"Oh believe me, most women over the age of 15 agree with me". She answered, stuffing a slice of bacon in her mouth.
Tom just shook his head in disbelief and started loading food onto his plate. Anna watched him, how could he be so oblivious to the effect he had on women ?
"Do you want me to drive you home on my way ?" He looked up at her, he had just finished getting dressed.
Anna stretched, then put on her shoes, she ought to spend the day working on her book. "If it's not to much trouble, I can get a taxi".
He walked over, folding his arms around her, resting his forehead on hers. "You are never to much trouble darling".
When they pulled up in front of her house, she leaned over to kiss him goodbye, and he gently let his fingers brush down her cheek. "It is gonna be late today, but tomorrow I am off real early, so maybe I can take you on a date ?"
"I'll love to, and I'm going to miss you". She kissed him one last time before sighing and opening the door.
"I'll miss you to my love". He blew her a kiss, and she caught it, holding it to her heart while she watched him drive away.
Anna said hi to her mother and then hurried to her room, she didn't feel like talking right now and she knew her mother would ask alot about Tom if she went into the kitchen.
She threw herself down onto the bed, she should be writing, but she couldn't concentrate, she keept thinking of Tom and the fact the he was leaving in about a week, what would happen then ?
Yes London might only be 1,5 hour drive, but he wouldn't stay there for long, he would be travelling, sometimes 3 or 4 months at a time, how could she be without him for so long ?
She loved him, she couldn't deny it anymore, and he said he loved her, and she had no reason not to trust him, but she knew it could be really straining on a relationship to be so much apart, and he would constantly be surrounded be women throwing themselves at his feet and beautiful actresses, could her nerves handle that ?
Her brain told her that there was a good chance of her getting hurt and that it was best to stop now before the pain would be to much to bear, but her heart wouldn't, no it couldn't let him go.
Anna had dosed of, but woke up when her phone buzzed, it was getting dark outside. She picked up her phone, expecting it to be Tom or maybe Tracy, but it was her ex Peter.
> Anna, I need to talk to you, it's very important. Can I take you out to dinner ? Love Peter <
She looked at the phone, as if she expected it to explain it to her. What did he want with her ? And important in which way ? She had only talked to him a couple of times since she threw him out and only because she ran into him.
> Hi. What do you want to talk to me about ? No I do not want to get dinner with you, and I do not think neither your girlfriend or my boyfriend would like it. Anna <
It didn't take long for him to answer. > Please Anna, it is really important, I have to see you. Can you meet me at the pub then ? <
Anna didn't want to, but she was curious now, what did he need to talk about ? She wasn't going to se Tom tonight and one beer just to hear him out in a public place couldn't hurt.
> Okay then, just one beer. I can be there around 9.30 pm < she kind of regretted it, but she had already send the message, it was to late to back out.
His answer arrived almost immediately and it kind of made her skin crawl. > Thanks Anna, you wont regret it <
