Epilogue

It was 4 months later and Anna was on her way back to London after visiting her parents.
Sunburst had been picked up by her new owner, lucky the horse had only suffered some small cuts and the buyer still wanted her.
Anna had been lucky too, she had been to the hospital for only a couple of days, she had some banged up ribs, a sprained ankle and a lot of bruising, and she was thankful she had been wearing both a helmet and a safety vest.
Tom was rehearsing a play in London, he had insisted and even got Luke to call her to tell that it was a great move for his career.
It had been great having some down time, just enjoying each other, Tom coming home every evening, almost feeling like a normal couple.
She had something she needed to tell Tom, she hoped he would like her surprise, but she was a bit nervous. She parked the car, and went inside, calling out. "Tom ? Are you here ?"
She didn't get any answer, but she found a note in the kitchen. > Hallo darling, I had to go in to the theatre, but you go take a long bath and put on something beautiful, I will pick you up at 5 pm for a romantic dinner, yours forever Tom <
She smiled to herself, it was so typical Tom to do something like this, and it was one of the reasons she loved him so much, he always made her feel loved and special.
Anna went upstairs and undressed, a long bath actually sounded great after the long drive.
On the edge of the bathtub was 2 candles, a bottle of champagne and a glass and a basket with luxury bathing products. She shook her head, but smiled happily, sometime it was nice getting spoiled.
After the bath, she put on a beatiful dress and did her hair and make-up. This was perfect, now she could make something special of her surprise.
When she came out their bedroom, she could hear faint classical music from downstairs, had Tom come home early ? She went to the stairs, the light was of and the curtains pulled, but there was a lit candle on every step.
Slowly she walked down the stairs, what was he up to ? When she reached the bottom she saw him, he was standing with his back turned, the whole hall filled with candles as well.
He turned towards her slowly, his smile for once a little insecure, he was in a new burgundy three piece suit, looking like a real life Disney prince and holding a single long stemmed red rose.
"Tom, I didn't hear you come in at all, what is going on ?" Anna walked towards him, her heart beating like crazy.
He gently grabbed her hands and fell to his knee in front of her. "Anna you are the only thing that matters to me, you are the most beautiful, most passionated and most amazing woman in the world and I love you more than I can ever describe, would you please do me the honour to be my wife ?"
Anna felt the tears coming, but it was tears of happiness, she nearly couldn't get the words out, but nodded feverishly. "Yes Tom, of course, There is nothing I would love more".
He gently put a ring on her finger and she pulled him up to her to kiss him warmly.
She looked at the ring, it had a grand diamond in the middle set in what looked like pentals with smaller diamonds, making it look like a flower.
She looked at him, saying very honestly. "Oh Tom, it is wonderful, it is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen".
"I am so happy that you like it". Hen smiled happily and kissed her once more.
"Actually I have something for you to, not as expensive, but I really hope you like it". She went to her bag and took out a little packet.
He opened it, looking very excited and pulled out a piece of clothes, he held it up, it was a babys bodystocking and it said 'Loki made me do it'.
Anna watched him, to see his reaction, Tom looked at her, then back at the baby clothes, then at her, his eyes getting big. "Darling, does this mean what I think it means ?"
She bid her lip nervously. "Yes Tom, I am pregnant, I only found out yesterday".
"I .. I am going to be a father ? His voice was trembling, and she could se a tear roll down his cheek.
"Yes Tom, you are, we are going to have a baby". She smiled at him and he grabbed her, lifting her and kissing her sincerely.
He held her as close as he could. "I didn't think it was possible to love you more than I already did, but you just made me the happiest man on earth".
"I love you too Tom, and you are going to be an amazing dad". She looked at him, her heart feeling like it could explode from containing so much love, she knew they would be alright, as long as they had each other.
