"Are you and Ryan dating?" he asks playing the game I came up with. "Oh god no!! We are just friends and he is disgusting!!" I say. I lick the vanilla ice cream running down my kone and try to think of a question to ask Buck.

"Oh! I got it! What is your most hated teacher and why?" I ask watching him take a lick of his own chocolate scoop of ice cream. "Probably Mrs. Karden because she just had it out for me. At least all of my other teachers had a reason to point fingers at me!" he says smiling. "Now I have a question for you." he says and I nod.

"Does this count as our first date?" he says smiling. I return the smile and say a not so confident 'yes'. "Now for you good sir," I say playfully "Would you like to go on a second date?" I ask. "Yes I would like to very much." he says. I lick one of the rainbow sprinkles off my ice cream getting some vanilla ice cream as well.

"El, your question," he says all Game-host like "Do you have a date to the Spring Dance in three days?" I giggle as I say "Well not yet." And I think of a question to ask him. "Are you free tomorrow?" I ask and he responds with a "I am now!" As I bite down on my cone Buck asks me "Do you want to go to the dance with me?" "I would like that very much." I say. I then pull out my phone and see the time (5:56) and say "Wow it's really late. I got to go but here's my number I say scribbling down numbers on a napkin and handing it to him. "I can give you a ride home," he says putting the napkin in his pocket. "That won't be necessary. I live a street or two away. I can burn off the ice cream calories and you can save gas!" I say before crossing the road away from King Kone. As I walk I think about the dance and other possibilities.
