The following events rushed by so fast I could barely register them. It felt like I was falling asleep on the couch just yesterday, and now I am already in the plane, ready to start a nearly new life at a new place.

Soon we were taking the same route that we did when I first arrived here, I was able to spot many familiar places, but I could not wrap my head around the fact that I have to call this city my home from now on.

We took a few boxes from the trunk and headed upstairs to the flat. Jiggling keys a couple times, he put one in: "I will get you a key when we go out next time," he smiled and opene the door.

A second after the light was turned on, a bunch of people screamed out: "Welcome home!"

First phase: shock. I was scared far beyond the norm. Nearly dropping the box, realisation hit me. As we stepped into the flat, confetti covered us from head to toe and, honestly, all I could think about was that I will have to clean all that up afterwards for the following two or three days.

Finally I started looking around and noticed all the familiar faces, all his friends that I was sure will be around for long.

They helped us bring the rest of the boxes up to the flat and I could not be more thankful. The night did not last long though, him and I were tired from the trip. When the guests had gone, I quickly got rid of majority of the mess until he persisted that I go to bed. The day ahead promised to be busy and strangely I was looking forward for it.

Nothing warmed my heart more than knowing that all his life he had these people around him. They were suportative and fun to be around. It was wonderful to realise that I will have them around too. If he trusted them, then I definitely would too.
