Fire. That’s the title of this book. A pretty unimaginative name, I know. But it’s the word that represents everything about me in the best possible way. My feisty, uncontrollable personality, my almost burnt looking face-ok, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I do have impossibly dark hair and tan features, but I never used to.
Oops, I’m getting off subject here. I’ll explain about that a bit later.
Anyway, about fire. For some people, fire is their nemesis, their worst nightmare, their deaths. They think of fire as destructive, life-ending or murderous. And they’re right.
Fire can be destructive, can be life ending, and sometimes, only sometimes, though, murderous. But so are other things.
Water can rip a person from their family; wind can throw a person off a cliff; earth could open up and swallow whole towns without a second thought. Honestly, fire is no different. It just gets all the bad press.
For me, fire is my lifesaver. Why? Let’s see then…
