Realistic or Romantic

Chapter 8

ARIA'S POV

"Three more months! Are you excited?" Emily asks. The three girls are sitting around me.

"Yes and kind of nervous. I am going to be a mom!" I say. I look over at Ezra who is talking to the men. It looks like Ezra is telling a story. They all start laughing. I smile. "And he is going to be a dad.

"Why are you nervous? You two are going to be wonderful parents." Spencer says gently. I hug all three of them.

"You guys are going to be the best aunts."

Ezra and I are standing on the porch. Ezra is silent. He clears his throat. "Excuse me everyone." he says loudly. everyone stops talking and looks at Ezra. "As you all know Aria and I have been dating for a year and a half. We have had many ups and downs but we have gotten through them together. I love her more than anything." By this time I have tears streaming down my face. Ezra pauses for a moment but I already know what he's going to say.

"We're engaged!" We say in unison.

I watch everyone's faces as they turn into huge smiles. Everyone jumps out of their chairs and rush over to Ezra and me. The girls grab my hand to look at the ring.

"It's beautiful!" Spencer says in awe.

"So Mr. Fitz is loaded. Maybe you can get me a diamond necklace?"

"Hanna!" Emily scolds.

I laugh. Toby walks up behind Spencer. "Maybe you will get one of those." he says motioning to the ring. Spencer smirks. "I will see you girls later." Spencer says as she takes Toby's hand and leads him into the house.

We all smile, knowing what Spencer has in mind.

EZRA'S POV

I look at my watch. It's already 12:57 a.m. I look at Aria as she laughs with her friends. I walk over and put my arm around her. "Hey babe."

"Hey honey, I am getting pretty tired. Do you think we can go home?"

"Ya, let's go say bye to your parents"

Aria says goodbye to her friends and we walk over to her parents.

"Hey I am getting pretty tired so Ezra and I are going to go home." Her parents stand up and give her a hug. Ella gives me a hug an Byron shakes my hand.

"Goodnight." they say proudly smiling at Aria and I.

"I had a great time!" Aria says putting her purse on the table.

"I did too!" I walk over and hug her from behind. "I love you."

"I love you too. Thank you for wanting to marry me."

"Why wouldn't I want to marry the most wonderful girl in the world!" I say turning her around and giving her a long gentle kiss. "Shall we?"

She nods and I take her hand and lead her to the bed.

-The Next Morning-

I wake up with my arms wrapped around Aria, who is sound asleep. I look at the alarm clock. 9:03. We only got 5 hours of sleep. I carefully get out of bed and put my boxers on. Aria is still asleep so I decide to get in the shower before she wakes up. I turn on the water and get in. I hear the door open.

"Hey good morning beautiful" I say through the curtain. "would you like to join me?"

"Of course." I hear her say in a sleepy voice. The curtain opens and she gets in.

-After the Shower-

I turn off the water and Aria gets out and grabs my navy blue robe and puts it on.

"You know, you do have your own." I say pointing at the smaller purple robe.

"I like yours better."

"What am I suppose to wear?" I ask.

"Nothing. Just the way I like it." She smirks and then she starts giggling. She walks out of the bathroom in my robe leaving my standing there, naked.
