Realistic or Romantic

Chapter 7

Aria's POV

"Aria Montgomery." I hear Mr. Hacket say. I stand up and walk up to the stage. The line of teachers shake my hand and Mr. Hacket gives me my diploma. I walk off and the photographer takes my picture. As I walk back to my seat I see Ezra smiling. Next to him my dad holds a camera up and takes a picture. I see all three of them smiling proudly at me. Tears well in my eyes. I find my seat and the ceremony continues.

When the ceremony finally gets done they dismiss the students to the courtyard. I wait with Hanna, Spencer, and Emily for our families.

"So how are you feeling Aria?" Emily asks.

"I feel awesome, actually. I haven't had anymore morning sickness so I guess I am pretty lucky."

I see Ezra walk out with my parents following him. He sees me and walks toward me with a huge smile on his face. Once he reaches me, he pulls me in for a kiss. "Congradulations!" he says. He sees the girls and congradulates all of them as my parents give me hugs. The girls' families joins us and we discuss the party tonight. I look down at my ring, luckily no one has noticed it. All of us say goodbye to each other and we leave. Ezra and I go back to his apartment.

"Wait, what time did Spencer say we had to be there?" I ask Ezra as we enter the apartment.

"Six and we have to bring a couple liters of pop."

I sit on the couch. "What is the thermostat set to? It's like a sauna in here. I am drenched in sweat." I complain. Ezra walks over to the thermostat.

"It's only 68 in here. How are you hot?"

"Well, I do have another human inside of me. Why are you so selfish? How could you be so selfish and get me pregnant?!" I yell. Ezra doesn't make eye contact. I come to my senses and realize how rude I was being. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. These stupid pregnancy hormones are not making me a very lovely person."

Ezra looks up with his eyes watery. "We still don't know for sure if I got you pregnant." he whispers. His sad face breaks my heart and I start to tear up.

"I'm sorry, Ezra. I didn't mean to bring it up."

He sniffs and breathes in heavily. "It's fine." he says like I didn't even bring it up. "Let's just not think about it." he tries to sound like it didn't effect him but I can tell he is still hurt. He sits on the couch next to me and cuddle into his side. "I love you Aria and the baby no matter what." I don't respond, I just smile and fall asleep.

Ezra's POV

"Are you ready to go?" I ask, watching Aria apply lip gloss.

"Yes let's go." I get out of the car and walk to the passenger side and help Aria out. We walk up to The Hasting's front door and Aria rings the door bell.

"This house is huge!" I say.

"Ya they are very wealthy."

Aria and I wait a few more seconds for someone to answer the door. Then I hear music pllaing from the backyard. "I think they are in the backyard I hear music playing."

Aria takes my hand and we walk around to the back of the house. Sure enough a group of people are holding cups and sitting around the fire pit talking.

"Hey Aria and Ezra." Spencer says getting up and walking over to us. Everyone else follows. The party really isn't a "party" its more of a small gathering. It is the 4 girls and their families.

"Hey guys." Aria hands Mrs. Hastings the bag that holds the two bottles of pop.

"Hey Ezra." Mike says shaking my hand. "Hey Mike."

A dark haired kid walks up behind Mike. When he gets closer I notice it is Noel. "Hello Mr.Fitz." he says with a devilish smirk. "Hello Noel." I say back, flashing him a sarcastic smile.

"Honey, I need to sit down." Aria whispers in my ear. I take her hand and we sit in two blue lawn chairs by the fire. "Hey Ezra do you want a beer?" Mr. Hasting asks standing up.

"I'll take a water. Thank you." I stopped drinking after I found out Aria is pregnant. I want to support her and drinking may lead to being drunk. Mr. Hastings comes back with a bottle of water. "Thank you." I take a drink and then I notice Noel is staring at me. I glare at him and turn away to talk to Byron. Noel has no idea what Aria and I have in mind for tonight.
