Caught between Lovers

Chapter 8

-Louis's POV

After the ride back to school me and Luke exchanged our goodbyes and went our separate ways. I went through the rest of my day with a huge smile on my face. The reason why is because I almost kissed Luke. It didn't hit me until the end of art that now I'd probably have to keep this a secret from Harry. I mean how would you feel if your crush told you they almost kissed your brother. Exactly not good. But since we barely talk in history anyway I think we'll be good. When I walked into history I noticed that Mrs. Kootze had changed our seats and surprise, surprise I was now sitting next to Harry. I hesitantly made my way to my new seat and saw Harry impatiently waiting, almost like he waiting for me.

"Hey... Harry." I said trying not to spill the beans.

"Hey Louis, missed you at lunch." He said staring me down with his emerald eyes.

"Yeah I kinda went somewhere." I said trying not to look into his eyes.

"Yeah I heard you were out with Luke." He said, I was in shock, how did he know.

"Oh, how do you know about that?" I asked trying to sound innocent.

"Your sister told me." He informed me,

Dang it Lottie, I can't tell you anything.

So what if I did go somewhere with him, what do you care?" I asked trying to defend Luke and myself.

"I care because he's bad news Lou, and I don't want anything bad happening to you." He said sounding generally concerned.

"Well I don't need you looking out for me, I'm a big boy Harry." I said and that's when he got a look of shock in his eyes.

'Well if that's how you really feel, then I guessed I wasted my time with you." He said before the final bell rang, we didn't talk to each other for the rest of class. and I couldn't help but feel really bad about what I did, I really like Harry and I hate that I just hurt him. But then again I also really like Luke and I hate that I didn't get to kiss him today. Ugh I'm feeling really conflicted right now. I need to figure this out,

RRRIIINNNGGG!!!

I hadn't even realized that the bell had rung until everyone had left.

"Louis, the bell rang 5 minutes ago." I heard Mrs. Kootze inform me breaking my trance.

"Oh, right, thanks Mrs. Kootze, ill see you tomorrow." I said grabbing my bag and leaving.

Luckily by the time I had gotten outside Harry was gone. I assumed that him and Marcel had gone home.

*BUZZ*

I checked my phone to find a text from Lottie.

Hey Fizzy went home with a friend and the twins are staying after for some kind of club, so I went home already-L

Ok thanks for the heads up-L.

Since the little ones were doing things, that meant I had the afternoon to myself. I decided to take the long way through the park home. Once I arrived at the park I decided to try and find that secret spot that Luke had shown me today. After about 20 minutes of searching I was about to give up when I heard the undistinguished sound of someone singing Ed Sheeran lyrics in the distance, I followed the sweet musical sounds to find the secret spot. Boy was I surprised to see Harry sitting there instead of Luke.

"H-Harry?" I asked nervously.

He stopped in the middle of the line he was singing and looked over at me.

"O...Oh Louis how do you k...know about this place?" He asked surprised.

"Luke took me here today." I informed him slowly inching closer to him.

"Figures." He said rolling his eyes.

"Your a really good singer." I informed him.

"Thanks, I've been singing for quite awhile." He informed me.

"What about Marcel and Luke?"

"Luke hasn't sung in forever and Marcel can barely carry a note." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Hey I didn't mean anything with what I said to you today." I said in my best apologetic voice I could make.

"It's ok, Luke has a way to get into peoples heads."

"Yeah, I don't know what came over me." I said slightly blushing.

"Have a seat." He said offering me a seat.

"Thanks."

We sat for what seemed like hours. At one point a cold breeze blew by and I shivered a bit.

"Cold?" He asked me.

"Just a little."

"Don't worry I got ya." He said wrapping his arms around me.

"Thanks." I said placing my head on his shoulder and we sat like that for a few hours.

*BUZZ*

I was about to brake our position to check my phone but Harry grabbed it for me.

"It's from your mom, she s...says to be home in one hour." He informed me.

"Well looks like I have to go." I said taking my phone back.

"I could walk you home." Harry suggested.

"I'd like that." I told him.

And with that we made our way to my house. We were fairly quiet the whole walk and when we got to my doorstep we shared goodbyes.

"I'll see you tomorrow at school." I told him.

"Y...yeah see ya tomorrow."

Before I went inside I gave him a quick peck on the cheeck and he left with a smile on his face, and admittedly I also had a huge smile on my face when I went inside.

"What's with the dorky smile Louis?" Daisy asked me.

"Nothing I just had a really good day." I told her.
