“Johnny, I’m not feeling well,” I mumbled in a low voice shuffling my feet across the floor as I entered the kitchen where he was making us breakfast.

He turned around on his sock covered heels and looked at me with concerned eyes and a little frown, “What’s wrong babe?”

“I have a really bad headache… Like excruciating pain,” I replied plopping down into the kitchen tables chair and leaned both of my elbows on the table itself.

Johnny sat down in the seat next to me and rubbed my back up and down, which relaxed my muscles. Then he asked, “How bad is it on a scale of one to ten?”

“Nine point eight repeating,” I grumbled putting my head down. “I think my heads gonna explode,” My voice sounded muffled as I spoke.

“Do you need to go to the doctors? Maybe even the emergency room,” He questioned with a large supply of concern floating throughout his voice.

“No… Maybe… Yes? Uhhhh,” I groaned not knowing what I needed or even wanted to do.

“How about you eat breakfast and if you don’t feel any better then we’ll go to the doctors,” Johnny reasoned still rubbing my back, which really did comfort me quite a bit.

“O-Ok. What are you making,” I asked with my head still down.

He stood up and replied from a further distance, “Pancakes.”

“Yum,” I said in a sarcastic tone.

“Jess are you feeling any better,” Johnny questioned as he picked up my paper plate and threw it in the garbage.

“A little, not much though. Can we go to the doctors now,” I asked sliding my flip flops on while stuffing my phone in my pocket.

“Yeah. Just let me call them and grab my wallet and then we can walk to the doctors,” Johnny replied and walked into our bedroom while pulling his phone out of his pocket.

Once he came back out I took his hand firmly in mine… And we were off to the doctors.

“Hi, how may I help you two today,” A young lady asked at the nurses station while looking at the computer screen and clicking.

“Yes. We called earlier for an appointment for Jessica Rodgers,” Johnny answered motioning to me.

“Alright, I’ll let Doctor Shuto know that you are here,” The lady replied, not letting her eyes leave the computer screen.

“Alright, thank you,” Both Johnny and I thanked before heading towards the waiting room, where I sat to the left of Johnny, still holding his hand firmly.

“Johnny?”

“Yeah darling,” He responded gripping my hand tighter.

“You’re a great guy… You know that,” I asked looking up into his beautiful blue-ish eyes.

They looked down at me with a mysterious looked in them, “And you are a great girl who deserves all the good things in life.”

“Johnny…”

“Jess…”

“I love you Johnny so much! I couldn’t imagine myself with anyone else. You’re my other half… I just love you so much,” I told him looking into her concerned eyes.

“I love you too Jess. You defiantly make my life worth living,” He replied leaning down and planting a firm, meaningful kiss on my lips.
