It's been about three weeks since the benefit where the new CEO was announced. I still don't really understand how my dad was passed up for this position. He has dedicated 20 years of his life to that company and it would only make sense for him to get the position.
I really need to stop thinking about that night, but it's hard because something just seems off about the whole situation.
Maybe if I ask Jennifer and tell her what I think maybe she could help me figure it out. Yeah that's what I'm going to do, i'm going to ask Jennifer for her opinion.

As I returned to sitting on my bed waiting for Jennifer to come over I still could not stop thinking about that particular night. Something has to be wrong I can feel it.

I don't understand why this girl will just not let this situation go. I mean damn her dad got passed up for the job but so did other people. I mean Nicholas deserved that job much more than her dad. It doesn't really matter anyway she's never going to find out that I know him or anything else for that matter. If I have to every time she brings it up, keep throwing her off. Somethings are just none of her business. Plus I'm her best friend she would never go against me.

Well to be completely honest Jennifer I'm so hungry I could eat a cow right now. So any food would be decent enough but if you want to get technical I always love eating Taco Bell.

Well Jennifer my dad gave me $300 to get me a good birthday outfit and he said whatever else is left over I can do whatever I want with it. On another note you don't have your birth father you have your mothers third husband and your birth mother. You know what's pretty crazy your mom gets married more often than anybody else I know.

As we get to the front of the line to make our order for our food I couldn't shake the feeling that Jennifer was hiding something from me.

Hey Kimberly what do you want to eat?

Oh I would like a Mexican pizza and two cool Ranch Doritos tacos with no sour cream and some cinnamon twist with a medium size sprite.

Damn Kimberly you always order the same shit. Do you know how to eat anything else besides a Mexican pizza.

Yes Jennifer I know how to order other things but it's not my fault the Mexican pizza is so damn good.
