"How long have I been out?" I looked around and saw people hovering over me. "Lilian, can you hear me?" A doctor asked. "Yes I can hear...do I look disabled to you?","LILIAN!" My mom yelled at me. "MARRIAM!" I copied my mom. "Doctor she's fine I think she ju-"," who's he?" I asked pointing to a guy in the back. "Honey that's your boyfriend." My mom said to me. "I don't have a boyfriend.......I never have....." Everybody turned and stared at me. "Lily, you and Derek have been together for almost 2 years now...how do you not remember??" My older sister asked. "I don't remember him...I'm sorry. Derek is it?" He nodded. I used my finger and motioned him to come closer to me. "I'd like to get to know you better.." I looked in to his mesmerizing brown eyes. They were dark brown with a hazelnut outer rim. "Lily........do you remember me at all?? Even just when we first met?" I shook my head no. "I'm sorry but the only thing I remember is me starting Junior year of high school.....OH MY GOD!! Mom I saw this boy and he had really pretty eyes.....they were kind of like his....he looked like a nice guy. And then I found out that I have like 6 classes with him." I smiled really big. "Honey, you graduated 6 months ago.....You've been in a coma for the past 6 months." My mom explained to me. "Lils you had the biggest crush on Derek and then about a year and a half ago right before winter break he told you he liked you and then you found out that my boyfriends cousin best friend was Derek....well Lily I had Blake over and his cousin was with us and he had Derek with him, you came home from Alex's house on Christmas soaking wet and freezing and well you walked in shivering. Derek saw you and gave you his blanket and you ran upstairs and took a shower. You walked into the room and sat down across from me after giving Derek a new blanket...we started talking and then you stopped talking out of nowhere and turned to face Derek. You freaked out and ran to your room screaming because you're you Hahahahahaha.....you came back into the room with a paper bag over your head and a banana in your hand as a weapon and pointed the banana at Derek's head....." She looked at me. "Are you even listening??" She exclaimed. "Not really...you lost me at my boyfriends cousin best friend....."I got quiet after that. "Are you freakin serious??" She looked irritated and so I started laughing. "Lilian this isn't funny, I'm trying to get you to maybe remember a memory..." She looked upset. "Mom....I don't understand though........I'm 16, in multiple clubs, crushing on a guy with beautiful eyes a great and gorgeous smile and dark drown hair and cream colored skin.....kind of like Derek.....mom I'm so confused.." I looked at my hands. A nurse walked in. "I'm sorry but visiting hours are over.....only 2 people can stay." She stated and then left. "I only want him to stay.." I pointed at him. "Only Derek?" My mom seemed hurt. "Yes mom, only...Derek?" I questioned myself when I said his name. My sisters and my brother walked out and left me with Derek. I looked at him..and I stared. "Yes? Hahaha" he sort of chuckled. I just kept staring at him. "I could stare at you all day long." I stated. "Hahaha what?" He looked over at me. "What?" I mimicked him. "Hahahaha are you seriously copying me?" He started laughing. I like him. I definitely like him. And I wouldn't have been able to like him if I hadn't had opened my eyes....
