I talked to Derek all day long. Well it felt like all day. We had only been talking for an hour. "Soooooo Hahahahahaha Derek...what's your favorite color?" I asked him. "I have a couple actually, and those are black, green, brown, and aqua." He answered. "Oh. Ok" I smiled at him. "What's your full name?" I poll. "My full name is Derek Matthew Anderson." He replied. "I like your name Mr. Derek Matthew Anderson" I said proudly with my head held up. "And I like yours too Ms. Lilian Anne Sareeno." He looked so loving. "Derek?","Yes?" He answered. "Have we said our I love you's?" I asked. "Yes we have, and we were so happy. Even when we were stressed out. We would make each other happy. Lily...I've been miserable since you were in the coma." He poured out. He was on the verge of tears, I saw them coming. "Come here Derek. Come close to me. You need a hug. A really really long hug." He came closer to me and hugged me and as soon as we made contact he started crying. It was like he was holding everything in. "Shh shh shh its ok Derek. I'm here, I'm going to try to remember, as much as I can. But right now I'm right here, and I'm not letting you go. I'm right here Derek, I'm here...I'm not going anywhere. Just let it out sweetheart, let it out." I cooed him for like 2 hours, he eventually fell asleep. I held him in my arms. While he was asleep I was just looking at him. Examining his features. His facial structure. Everything. The way he would hug me. The way he talked. He had a lisp with certain letters, it made him adorable. I played with his hair, I ran the side of my pointer finger on the side of his face. I traced his jawline, he was so peaceful looking when he was asleep. So beautiful. The doctor walked in and as he walked in I held my finger up to my lips telling him he needs to be quiet. "Ok, well you seem perfectly fine, like you can make it in the world soooo oh and I got my boss to check you out so you can actually leave today. You just need someone to get you clothes." He told me while whispering. I nodded. "Thank you so much. This means a lot to me so thank you." He nodded and said you're welcome and so he left. "Derek? Sweetheart I need you to go get me clothes, I can go home." I said while I slowly shook him. "What?" He asked groggily. "I need you to get me some clothes I can go home." I repeated. "Oh, really?" He was sitting up now. "Yes really." I smiled really big. "Oh, well, I've had clothes of yours with me this entire time just so when you could I didn't have to go and come back. To save gas." He replied. He pulled up a bag that had a pair of underwear, a bra, a tank top, a shirt, pants, a pair of socks, and my sneakers. He left the room so I could get changed. I opened the door for him to come back in and he was leaning up against the door. He fell on top of me. "Oh my god I'm so sorry Lily, are you ok?" I just looked at him. "Who are you?" I asked him. "No no no its all my fau-"," Hahahahahaha its ok Derek I'm fine hahaha I remember you from the past couple of days I wanted to see your facial expression if I did that and man was it priceless." I spoke as I was getting up off the floor. "Come here." I had my arms out for a hug. He walked over to me and entered my arms. I hugged him as tight as I could. Then we just hugged and I rubbed his back as we stood there hugging. We stopped hugging and walked away. Derek had informed me that while I was changing he signed me out so after I was done changing we could just leave. "Derek? I'm hungry.","And it begins hahaha" he said to himself while chuckling. "What do you mean? Haha" I giggled. "Oh, well hahaha before you got into the coma, every single time we'd leave to go somewhere you'd always say you're hungry. Or well almost every single time you opened your mouth it'd either be about food, you saying you're hungry, or just talking about random stuff unless you were doing something at the moment." He smiled with that memory. "Do you think they'll give up on me?" I felt insecure. "I'm not sure right now, but I do know that you have me and I'm not going to give up on you. I'm promising you that." He looked at me and then turned his attention back to the road. "Don't make promises you can't keep.." I mumbled under my breath. "What's that?" I guess he heard me mumble something. "Oh nothing, its nothing important. Don't worry." I told him. Don't worry? You're that ordinary? You're just scared he'll give up on you like the others probably will. Grow up Lilian, stop trying to convince yourself of stuff that isn't true. I thought to myself. The rest of my day was me watching movies, stuffing my face, and just talking to Derek in our apartment. Then it got to around 10 o'clock and I passed out. Today was a long and exhausting day.
