"Jay, I'm so sick of school." My friend Princeton said to me.

"Two more weeks of this and we are out for summer break!" I said walking out of school with my some of my friends.

"I know right! These teachers be gettin on my last nerves!" Nesha said.

"Aye! You guys! Since the seniors graduated, that makes us seniors!" Prince yelled with his deep voice causing me to laugh. He was really cute, but he's like a brother to me.

"Ayeeeeeee!" I yelled and started twerking on spot.

"Get it sissssss." Nesha said starting to twerk with me.

"Ummmm Jay! Whatchu out here doin?!"

I stopped and looked over to see my brother walking towards us with his friends.

"Cmon Tae Tae... why you gotta be a party pooper?"

"Ion want you out here twerkin like you grown or sum."

"Why are you even here? You just graduated... Why are y'all here?" I asked causing him and his friends to laugh.

"I came to pick you up."

"Neesh is taking me home. See you later." I said as me and my friends walked off.

We walked over to her car and we all got in. Her parents bought it for her. It was a white Jeep.

"Hey sis, have you heard back from the people yet?" Princeton asked me as he looked back from the front passenger's seat.

"Nah not yet... I probably didn't win it anyways." I said looking out the window. Everybody knows how much I love Chris Brown. I'm a hug fan of his. He is so talented! His team put this contest together called "A Week With Chris Brown". The winner gets to fly down to L.A and they get to spend a week at his house with him.

It's the dream of a lifetime! We had to submit videos for why we deserved to win. I submitted mine 3 days ago, but I haven't heard any news yet. All he does is just posts different things to Twitter and Instagram about the contest.

"Don't be like that... You have to think positive. I know what will cheer you up... How about we go to Sugar Shack!" Nesha said while driving.
They sell nachos, snow cones, Italian ICs, and funnel cake sundaes... which happens to be my favorite thing there.

"Yassssss lets go!" I said getting all excited. I love that place so much.

(Later on That Day)

"See y'all tomorrow! Thanks for the ride bestie!" I said getting out the car and swinging my book bag on my arm.

"Byeeee." They said in unison as I walked away from the car. I took my keys out of my pocket and unlocked the front door. When I opened it, they pulled off, and I stepped inside.

"Jay where have you been? You know that you're supposed to call in and tell me what's going on." My mom said walking towards me.

"I know Ma I'm sorry and I forgot. I just went to Sugar Shack with Nesha & Prince."

"Your brother said he offered you a ride, but you dissed him." I looked past her to see him at the top step sticking his tongue out at me. I dropped my book bag and walked over to my grandma sitting on the couch. She lives with us.

"Hey grandmaaaa I missed you!" I said hugging her tight.

"Yeah yeah yeah I missed you too." She said sarcastically as we both laughed.

"When your brother says come home, you listen to him. You hear me?" My mom said with her arms crossed across her chest.

"Girl let the child be... She just went out with her friends." My grandma said as I hugged her even tighter. Grandma always saves the day.

"Alright Jay, but next time call me and let me know." She said walking upstairs to her room.

"Night ma!" I yelled to her from down here.

"Dang I thought you would get in deeper trouble than that. Gramma why'd you save her like that?" Deontae said coming down the stairs.

"It's not good to be a snitch son." Our grandma said as we both laughed at her. I love her so much. I can always count on this woman.

"Come one grandma it's almost 9... It's time for bed." I said getting off the couch.

"Hold on, I'm watching the Have & The Have Nots... I'll be up there in a few." I chuckled, shook my head, and pushed past my brother as he laughed at me.

I walked upstairs to my room and turned my light on. When the room lit up, Chris Brown posters appeared on the walls along with my drawings. I draw sometimes when I'm bored.

I kicked my shoes off and I closed my door. I took my phone out of my pocket and put it on the charger. I walked over to my tv to turn it on.

"Aye did you hear anything yet?" I heard my brother say as he opened up my door.

"Dang can you knock first? What if I was naked or something."

"But, you're not so just answer the question." He said still standing there.

"No, I didn't hear anything. Now can you go? I'm trynna get ready for bed." I said rolling my eyes and turning the tv on.

"That's why yo ugly self ain't gone win cause you always mean to me." He said chuckling.

"Get out Tae!" I said throwing one of my shoes at the door as he closed it.

I undressed myself with nothing else on but panties and a tank top. I turned the light out and crawled into the bed. I'm so tired that it doesn't even make sense.

What if Tae's right? What if I don't win? I would be so crushed. I put a lot into that video and I even tried to do some fun stuff in it. But, hey... If I don't then it just wasn't meant to be.

Me being from Chicago, I wanted to also take this opportunity to get out and explore California some more. I've been there twice, but I love going there.

Right now, I need a break from this place. The murder rate is so ridiculous man. It's depressing just thinking about it.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I received a text from the group chat.

Bestfriend🌺: Goodnight everybody! I love y'all.

Prince🐼💙: Night!

I texted back saying good night and turned over. I looked out the window to see the moon shining bright. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I closed my eyes shut and drifted off to sleep.
