(Chris' POV)

"We just need to keep you for a couple more hours to make sure your vitals are stable enough to go home. Now, when you do leave, you need to be on straight bed rest. In all honesty you don't need to leave the house or do any tough movements until that wound fully heals. I want to make sure it closes all the way up." Doctor Riley said as Jay folded her arms.

She rolled her eyes and Red and I laughed.

"So you telling me I can't drive my new car either? Y'all trippin' man..." She said shaking her head in disappointment.

"I know I know sweetheart. You wanna go out and have fun since it's warm outside. But, you must wait. Can you do that for me please?" Doctor Riley asked with a huge smile as Jay tried to look away.

But, knowing her, she couldn't help, but to mirror it back.

"Doc we gotchu... she won't be going no where. We gone make sure she's right there in that house." Red said as Jay threw a box of tissue at him.

"Shut up Red!" She semi-yelled as I laughed with the Doctor.

"Jay be nice..." Her mom said as Jay's jaw dropped.

"Tell him to stop messing with me."

"Child hush... now, will she have medicine to take home? I'm gonna have to stay home from work-----"

"No you won't... me and Chris can hold it down while you're at work. I mean I practically baby sat her in L.A." Red said as Jay was reaching to throw some thing else. Red ducked behind Doctor Riley.

"I know you won't hit Doctor Riley!" Red yelled out as the Doctor covered her face with her clipboard.

"You better be glad I care about Doctor Riley and I like her. Just wait till we get back to the house. It's gonna be over for you." Jay said pointing to Red with her two fingers.

"On a serious note, we can take care of her until we leave. We got it under control. Anything she needs you know I'll handle it." I said as the attention was drawn towards me.

"Thank you so much Chris... I know Jay doesn't mind at all." Her mom said as Jay had a kool-aid smile on her face. She always smiling at something.

"Now, you will have a physical therapist coming to your house to help you get back on your feet. She's a good one too. I hope you end up liking her." Doctor Riley said as I fondled with my fingers.

I hope I like her... cause if not, she's getting kicked out of my house. I would hate to see someone who has my dream job to do something stupid, or treat me some type of way because Chris will be there. But, I guess we'll have to see.

"A 17-year old girl was shot last night on the 85th block of Vernon... Witnesses say that she was trying to protect a family member in the midst of the shooting when she was struck. She was in critical condition earlier, but now she is expected to be okay."

The news reporter from ABC 7 on the tv said.

"How do they even know this?" Jay asked as her mom spoke up.

"I was in the midst of filling out a police report because Jon Jon told me what Vic did. He's going straight to jail." She said as I shook my head agreeing.

He needed to... who does this nigga think he is shooting my girl like that?

"Where's my phone?" Jay asked as I took it out of my pocket. It vibrated a couple of times, but I didn't even think to check it.
