Star Struck

Summer Break

It's 7:00 a.m as the Alarm goes off and
Dafne gets ready for her last day of school for spring break. She does her morning routine. She goes to her closet, picks out a Set It Off band t-shirt, black and red flannel, black skinny jeans, and black converse. She sighs happily and grabs her backpack to go to the kitchen to eat the waffles her mom made for her. Dafne finishes the last waffle and checks her phone it's 7:20. She gets up to wash her dish and kisses her mom on the check. Her mom says, "Have an amazing last day of school sweetheart, I love you" as Dafne replies with, " I will mom be careful on your way to work, I love you too."
She makes her way to the school and meets up with her group of friends which are also her band mates: Kevin, Ashley, Anthony, and Alejandra. The name of her band is called Star Struck, they're famous around school and the band was formed back in their freshman year. They are now seniors and are really giving it their all as they always perform at each school dance or event. The bell rings and they all split to go to their fist period class.
~skip to the Last Period of the Day~
The group of friends meet together for the last class of the day and that's choir. They make it in to sit on their rightful sections as Kevin is a bass, Anthony is a tenor, Ashley is a Soprano, Alejandra and Dafne are both Altos. The teacher Mr. G walks in and makes them warm up and as it's the last day of school he lets them do what they want. The group sits together to discuss about the dance the school is hosting after summer break is over. "What should we play at the dance?" Alejandra questions. "I don't know man, maybe something heavy metal" replies Kevin and Anthony says, "It's a school dance Kevin, so it has to be some popular pop songs and some slow dance songs to end the night for the couples." Alejandra and Dafne look at each other and nod, Dafne says, "Ashley and I agree with Ant over here and Kevin I'm sure we can add a few pop rock songs." We all agree to pick some song we see fit for the dance during our break and agree on them as soon as we can.
Dafne's P.O.V
"So what are you guys planning to do on the summer break?" Kevin laughs and says, "You" I smack him and he says, "ow that hurt T^T, but I'm doing nothing just gonna chill at my house." I laugh and Anthony says, "I'm going outta state for the summer to visit a few family members and I can take a friend that's if you wanna come Dr. D." I laugh at the stupid nickname, "Thank you but I'm gonna be a bit busy with my part time job at the animal shelter." Kevin laughs and says, "Damn Ant you got rejected for some dogs and cats." Anthony looked a bit disappointed and ignored Kevin's comment but smiles, "It's cool and damn a part time job at the animal shelter that's awesome bro, good luck." I smile as saying thank you and ask Ashley and Alejandra on what they're doing this summer. As they both happily exclaimed, "We both got accepted to go to a music camp for one week to learn more about playing our instruments." I smile, "That's awesome you guys have so much fun and take pictures." The bell rings and it signals it's the end of school and the start of Spring Break.
Everyone rushes out and we all walk home together as we all live on the same block. As we're walking Kevin is just tormenting Ashley and Alejandra is just trying to hold Ashley from killing him. I laugh at the scene and poke Anthony to look at them. "I'm honestly happy that we're all best friends and that we're in a band together." He smiles, "Honestly me too Dafne." I look at him and ruffle his hair, "Haha, lets go help them out." I run to Kevin and start poking him and he starts chasing me. So I just started a round of tag with them all. In the end we played 4 rounds of tag, enjoying the company of each other before we leave. The sun starts setting down and we all agree to go home. I get up and hug each one of them and say, "You guys better be active in the group chat." They all laugh and Kevin says, "Aren't we always active, haha." I smile and we each get inside our homes.
I get inside and my cousin looks up and tells me, "Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to the 21 & under club where it's rumored that the guys of One Direction will make an appearance for Harry's girlfriend Taylor Swifts Birthday party." I turn from the kitchen to say, "I'm not sure Mari I mean you know I don't like One Direction." She sighs, "Please my parents will let me go if you go, it's dangerous out late at night." I sigh as well, "What if we do run into trouble I don't know how to protect myself or you." "But you won't have to because nothing bad will happen trust me please come with me" she pleads. "Fine but you owe me big time" I sigh but smile. She smiles and hugs me, "Go get changed and then we'll go." I replied with, "I'm fine the way I am, how about you are you ready?" She smiles, "Yes" and turns so I can see her outfit. I laugh, "Alright lets go before you miss One Direction." She smiles as we walk to the car and she starts to drive to the under 21 club.
