Had to have you

It was hard. It was hard for him to sit and watch as one after another came and went. He loved her dearly but she never knew.

He loved the way her silken blonde hair would catch in the soft kiss of the breeze. The way her hazel eyes sparkled even when she frowned. Her rose petal skin, lightly tanned. Her lips a pale palpable pink. She wasn't perfect but that only made him love her more.

For years he was her shoulder to cry on, her rock when she was caught in the tide, and for years his love for her grew, festered, and pussed.

He stood across the street watching her. She was seated outside the cafe, waiting for him. Even from afar he could see that his sweet dear Lee was on the brink of tears. He knew what would happen as he walked towards her. Just as expected, she saw him and flung herself into his arms. Oh how he wished that he could hold her, not as a friend but as her lover.

He gripped her tight and smelled her all too familiar scent. She wept on him, her tears soaking his black shirt.

"What's wrong honey?" He asked tenderly, leading her back to her seat. He knew all to well what had happened, he constructed it after all.

"I'm sorry to call on you so early, but I have no one else." She said staring into his honey brown eyes. "Oh Sean, it's Frank." She stopped to try organize her thoughts. Frank was her fiancé and they were to be married in a couple of weeks. "He died yesterday." She wept even harder. It pained him to see her like this, but he couldn't let anyone take her from him. He plastered a frown onto his face and took her hand.

"How did he die?" He asked faking concern. He listened as she told him about the accident. It took all of his will power not to smile as her words brought back the memory. He planed it for months, carefully stalked him so that he'd know Franks routine. So when Frank walked by the construction site, like he knew he would, he was there waiting, timing. It had to be done at the exact time as his models and experiments were done. Sean stood at the top of the third level of the building and right as Frank was about to walk by, he pushed the cinder block off and watched as it smashed Franks skull in. He was smart enough to leave right away unnoticed.

Sean got up and led Lee away from the cafe. "Let's get you home and I'll fix you drink." He offered but she quickly shook her head. "No, please can we go to yours instead?" She asked him in a whisper. "Of course hun." He let her get into his truck herself and drove off. Once they arrived at his duplex, Lee wasted no time jumping out of the blue truck and let herself inside.

He shook his head at her and followed. He found her dragging the case of Budweiser into his bedroom, then went to retrieve his bottle of whiskey and two shot glasses. When he got the bedroom, she was laying on his bed dressed in his shirt and sweats. He loved when she wore his clothes. Her small frame was easily swallowed by their size. The beer was pressed to her lips and she chugged half the bottle before she put it down.

Knowing that she wouldn't want talk for a while, Sean put on her favorite movie, Necromentia. When he turned he caught Lee staring at the door he always kept locked. She often hassled Sean about what was in there and each time he told her it was just storage. Of course she knew him so well that she didn't believe that. He often feared what she would do if she knew what was behind the door. For if she were to look, she would see every picture of her that he had taken when she was unaware and find various items of hers. She would find out that in his spare time he was always watching her, following her. He knew everything she did every day.

When he sat next to her she stopped looking at it and handed him a beer. With an adoring smile he thanked her.

"How about some shots?" He asked and she shook her head in response. He quickly poured one for both of them. They sat there for a while just drinking and talking, sometimes watching whatever movie they had put on. After some time Lee had become drunk and passed out, so Sean took that chance to hold her and watch as she slept peacefully. Then not to long after he fell asleep, content to have her in his arms.
