"Coming mom" I yelled as my mom called me down for dinner. "Its getting cold Lauren" she yelled back. now I was officially annoyed. "I'm coming, I'm coming." I said while running down the stairs. oh I forgot, my name is Lauren, Lauren Collins to be exact. I'm 16 and had just graduated highschool, I was homeschooled so I finished early. I lived with my mom and dad in Toronto Canada. my best friend was Simone. I had loved her to death, she and I had been friends since grade 3. not only that but we were also moving to California, orange county. we had both always wanted to live there. and its finally happening. well still have to go to a university after summer ends, yet the university is also in orange county so it works out perfectly.
As I got downstairs mom had cooked my favorite food, spaghetti and meatballs, and had krispy kreme donuts for dessert. "what's the occasion?" I asked, since she didn't do this very often. "well since you're moving to l.a in a couple of days I wanted to prepare a little something for you" she said with a big smile across her face, yet with sadness is her eyes. I quickly came and hugged her, tightly. I was really going to miss her and my dad, even thought I'm still going to see then on holidays and all. "thank you" I said quietly while still hugging her. I knew it wasn't a big deal, but its the thought that counts.
*knock knock*
"dads homeee" I shouted while running to the door.
"hey honey,how are you?" he asked me a second after I opened the door. "I'm good how about you" " tired, had a long hard day at work, what's for dinner" " mom made spaghetti"
he was exited, we ate dinner and I went to bed right away, I had plans with Simone tomorrow.
