I woke up when I heard my mom yelling from downstairs.

"WAKE UP LAUREN! BREAKFAST IS READY"

"IM COMING"

I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth and ran downstairs, only to see my mom crying.

"mom are you ok??" I asked with fear.

"I'm just gonna miss you honey"

I realized that I'm going to be leaving for Cali today, I got really exited yet a little bit sad.

"Mom don't worry I'm gonna visit very often, its not like I'm leaving forever." I said smiling. She wiped away her tear and smiled back.

" Ok let's eat."

After breakfast I started to pack my carry on; all the necessities.

A few hours later, Simone called me and told me she was on her way here. I was could barely hold in my excitement.

I headed downstairs with my 2 suitcases and my backpack. My parents were already waiting downstairs, and Simone was waiting outside. My mom was obviously crying, but I didn't expect it from my dad.

"Stay safe sweetheart and call us every night ok?"

"Yes mom I will, don't worry. Me and Simone are not going to do anything stupid, I promise." I smiled and my dad started to help me carry my suitcases to the car.

I hugged them one last time and got in the car.

"Bye mom, bye dad. I love you." they smiled and we drove off.

I didn't expect it but I also started crying, and I never really cried.

"Awe are you ok?" Simone asked

"Yes, I'm fine" I wiped my tear and before I knew it we were at the airport.

After waiting and going through the security check, were were finally boarded on the plane.

"I can't believe this is actually happening" I said.

"I know. After all that we are finally leaving" I always forgot that Simone wasn't very close with her parents, since they were always on business trips. So she didn't really care about leaving. The plane took off and before I knew it I fell asleep.
