Jaimie p.o.v.

I lie in my bunk, my eyes wide open and staring at the ceiling. I am nowhere near asleep so I am thankful when I hear the many leaders of our army bargs in. I sit up straigh immediately.

"Men! Women! Up! We're being attacked in the field 32 miles from here! The rebels are already there and they're killing off the few men we sent there! Get on your armour and go go go!" They yell, taking turns to speak.

I jump out of the top bunk on my bed and land hard on the floor. I pull on my armour as quickly as possible and tie up my hair tightly. As soon as I'm ready I stand in front of the leaders, carrying my largest gun with manymore in my belt. The leader in front of me steps aside and I move past him, into the darkness of the outside.

I wait there as many more come and stand beside me. Soon, everyone from my bunker is outside with more coming, but we are told to head off before the rest. We begin to load into cars but we swiftly run out of vehicles to carry us all. I am left to run all the way there, along with many of my fellow warriors. I begin to run as fast as I can, and for the first time in five months, I feel something other than numbness or longing.
