LIZ POV
Second day of summer and one day closer to leaving for college. I was excited and sad at the same time, I was leaving my friends, but at the same time I knew I would be gaining some. Maya, Nicole and I had planned on going to The Wanted concert tonight, of course I get really bad anxiety the day of the concert. I was just going to try my best to push threw and ignore the anxiety.
The rest of the day goes by and I already got ready for the concert. I pick up Maya then we head to the concert. They open with the song We own the night. (Play above) It was one of my favourite songs of theirs.
*MIDDLE OF CONCERT*
Okay, going to the concert was a BIG mistake, after three songs I ended up having a panic attack. Maya and Nicole walked me out to get some fresh air. "You all go back to the concert, I can just go to the coffee shop down the street" I say, "you sure?" Nicole asks, I nod. They head back to the concert then I go to the coffee shop. I order a frappé then sat down. "Oh my word, Liz is that you?" Said a women who walked up the sat down across from me, "yeah it's me, wait Desi?" I say, "yeah! Wow I thought I would never see you again after I moved schools" she said. Desi was a friend of mine that I was tutoring during sophomore year, she moved to Kentucky then I never saw her again, well till now. "So how have you been?" I ask, "good, just got into U of L" Desi said. "Cool, as a matter of fact I'm going there this fall" I said. "Nice, so are you still with that Noah guy?" She asks, I really don't want to answer that but I will so I'm not rude. "Um no, we broke up about a month ago, then I switched colleges so I wouldn't be bothered for the next four years" I said. She nods, I knew in her head that she thought it was the right choice. We talk for another hour then I hear my phone ring, it's Maya.
"Hey the concert just got done, you coming?" She asked, "yep, bye" I say, then hung up. "I have to go pick up my friends, here is my number if you want to hang out sometime" I say, then give her my number. "Okay cool, bye" Desi said. I get up and go to get Maya and Nicole. I drop them off at their houses then I go home. Wow, so I already have two new friends who are going to the same college as me, and hopefully more to come.
