One-Shot Contest

Hey peeps! DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES TO THE ONE-SHOT CONTEST HAS BEEN EXTENDED!! This will be the final deadline..

I know this story is not that great or famous but I'm just holding a one-shot contest for fun.. Hope you all might enjoy writing about the characters of this book..

# So here are a few simple rules:

¤ What to do?
Write a short chapter on Love's Strange Ways.

¤ Who can it be about?
It can be about anyone regarding the book. You may write about the main characters --- Vishal and/or Shreya. But also, you are welcome to write about other minor characters like Vishal's grandma, his parents, Shreya's family, Vishal's friend Rhea, Shreya's friends, Keerthi, Jo and/or Abhay. It just has to be characters who have been mentioned in the book.

¤ What can it be about?
The chapter you write should revolve around them. Maybe a good/bad incident or day in their lives, some conversation (worth writing about) they had, a day from past/present/future. Just write! You can even write another view or more in detail about any incident I've mentioned in one or more chapters of this book.

¤ What is the word count?
It must not exceed more than a chapter and the word count is around 2,000. It doesn't matter if you write 500 words or 2,500 words, the content matters.

¤ Do I need to give a title to my story?
You should give it a title. First mention the title LSW, then insert your title. It should look like this:
"Love's Strange Ways - Vishal's Realization" (an example)

¤ How to send my entry?
1. Email me your entry at roses.lilies89@yahoo.com. In that case, mention your wattpad username as well.

or

2. PM me your entry. It can take two or three PMs though.

Do NOT send it in my message board or the comments section.

¤ What's the deadline?
31st July, 2016

# Prizes:

¤ Whoever enters receives a follow from me and 5 votes on their book. I will take the time to check out the book of your choice and vote, immediately after I have received your one-shot entry.

¤ Third Prize: I read, vote and comment (maybe a lot) on at least a total of 8 chapters of your book or any book you wish within a week or two.

¤ Second Prize: I read, vote and comment (maybe a lot) on at least a total of 10 chapters of one of your books or 5 chapters of two of your books within a week or two. The book(s) can be your book(s) or any book(s) you wish.

¤ First Prize: I read, vote and comment (maybe a lot) on at least a total of 12 chapters of one of your books or 6 chapters of two of your books or 4 chapters of three of your books within a week or two. The book(s) can be your book(s) or any book(s) you wish. There will be one more surprise as part of your prize later.

All entries sent to me will be posted as separate chapters in a new book I'll be publishing for the purpose of this contest only. Each chapter will be dedicated to the writer of the one-shot entry posted in that chapter.

# Judge:

I will judge your entry upon:

¤ The story. You don't need to brainstorm a really thrilling novel, but your content should be at least a little interesting.

¤ Grammar and punctuation. I'm not very particular that it must have perfect grammar and all but overall, it must look neat. No short forms or CAPITALS in normal sentences unless it's the characters thoughts or conversations or text chats. Subtle mistakes are okay, I won't mind, even I make mistakes.

¤ I do not do partialities. So only because you're my friend, or you're a silent reader, or I've never seen your name on my notification board, doesn't mean you cannot be a winner.

So that's it! Hope I haven't scared any of you with all these rules and infos.

# Editing:

I have the right to edit your entries before publishing it. Don't worry, I'll fix only the grammar and punctuations.

But that doesn't mean you can send unedited works. Your entries get judged upon grammar too.

So all the best everyone! Don't take it way too seriously and it would be nice if you decide to take part. Since it'd be sooo embarrassing to have no entries at all.
