Hello guys! After three long awaited years, we're finally back for a second cycle of Wattpad's Next Rising Star.

Our purpose is to find the next writing star on Wattpad. Not only do we aim to make you a well known writer, we also want to work with you to improve your writing skills and give you the tools you need to become successful.

To help make this possible, we introduce the 4 judges: returning judges angellover254, MisjudgedDreamer, and Vico96, and new arrival Nickey_Siegerman. Each individual judge adds their own unique touch and experience to the competition, making it an unforgettable adventure.

So, here we go. May the games begin, and good luck to everyone!

Here is the timeline of the entire competition.

Note: Everyone who enters has to make a contest book for this competition where they'll post all their entries.

Translation? Create a new book for this contest. Whenever we ask you to write something (create a new chapter), just add it there. Once you make it, please create an introduction chapter. For example, "Hi, I'm ____. This is my contest book for Wattpad's Next Rising Star. I hope you enjoy my one-shots, etc, etc. Once you publish it, dedicate it to us (WattysNextRisingStar) so we'll receive it. If you don't dedicate, we probably won't see it, and your audition won't count, so don't forget!

To see an example of a contest book, go to Vico96's page and see his contest book "X Factor For Writers Contest Submissions".

Phase One: The Audition

Each of you will audition for us, and will be scored. In the end, out of all the people who auditioned, the 60 with the highest grades move on to Phase Two.

Phase Two: The Camp

The 60 remaining authors will be put through a series of tests, some of which will be easy, and some hard.

Part A: The contestants will compete in a task which will lead to the next 40 people to move on to part B.

Part B: The remaining 40 people will partner up (making a total of 20 groups of 2) to complete a task, which will lead to the final 32 people moving on to Phase Three.

Phase Three: The Final Cut

The remaining 32 will be put through one last test, and using all the grades from the auditions until the end of Phase Three, the final 20 will be decided.

Through the contest account we'll follow the 20 hopefuls. These 20 will be divided into Groups, A, B, C, and D, each comprising 5 writers. A judge will be randomly assigned to one of these 4 groups to help/mentor the competitors in Phase Four.

NOTE: Anyone reaching the Top 16 may not audition for future cycles, should there be any.

Phase Four: The Rounds

There will be 4 rounds. Each round will have a different genre picked by the judges and the remaining 20 will have to write a one-shot using that genre. During these rounds, the mentor will help the contestants before the grading. Every judge besides the mentor judge will grade the one-shot for a total score /30.

There will be four eliminations out of each round. Same with round 2, 3, and 4. Leaving us with the final four for the final round.

Phase Five: The Final Round

A guest judge will help us determine the final winners. There will be a two-part final round to determine the first, second, and third place winners.
