I ran through the door with Darek trailing behind me. He slammed the dor behind him as we stood there, panting. After we got our breath back, I glared at Darek.

"What is wrong with you?! What were you thinking stealing that?" I yelled. Darek stood up defiantly and held up the remaining groceries he had shoplifted. The bag was torn and we had lost the milk and eggs a long time ago, but the avacados, rolls, and one small bag of chips was still inside.

"We needed the food and they wouldn't accept my money." he said like it was an everyday thing. I grunted at him and quickly swiped the bag from him.

"You didn't have enough money, and we didn't even get everything. Next time, just buy what you can pay for." I said, storming off into the kitchen to put the food away. The kitchen was one of the bedrooms that had a mini fridge and a mini stove plugged into the wall. There was a table set up for preparing food and a little microwave to heat up leftovers. It was a sad little kitchen, but it could be worse.

I set the bag down onto the table and took the avacados out. They were probably bruised all over and might already be guacamole, but I put them in the fruit and vegies bowl anyway. I put the bag of chips and the rolls on the table with all the other breads.

I walked out into the hallway and headed to the living room. The rest of the gang was either there or in their rooms. I plopped down on the couch beside Garrett and watched as the boys messed around with each other. I giggled and he looked at me funny. Way to go genius. Shut up, no one asked you. I asked myself. I never asked you anything. We agreed we were two different people, remember? Shut up, I'm talking to someone.

"Uh, no you're not." Garrett said. I realized I said the last part out loud and laughed nervously.

"Sorry, just talking to myself..." I mumbled. Garrett shifted around before settling back down and clearing his throat. We sat there for awhile before I giggled again.

"What's so funny?" Garrett asked. I looked at him and then back at the boys.

"It's like a high school in here. Everyone has their 'cliques'. It's kinda funny." I said. Garrett looked around at the gang and chuckled.

"You're right." he said. I watched as Kenai slapped one of the younger gang members and his groupies laughed.

"Between the cliques and the romance, it's like high school all over again." I said. Garrett shifted uncomfortably again and I looked at him. I could tell he was trying hard not to look at me. It was hard not to when he kept glancing over at me. I laughed and punched him in the shoulder.

"Don't think too hard about last night, I was having a flashback, I'm fine now." I said.

"That's not it." Garrett said. I looked at him. His eyes were locked on the window. I looked out the window and gasped. The enitre room went quiet as everyone either looked at me or looked at what I was seeing.

Outside on the alley wall was a bloody handprint that was smeared to look like Medusa's head. Above it, 'You've been warned' was written in blood.  What was awful was what was below. Leaning against the wall right below the handprint was Ape. His hands were cut off and stitched back onto his wrists to look like the handprint on the wall. His mouth had blood pouring out of it and his blood shot eyes stared right back at mine.
