Today was the last training session before our first game. In the halls you could see the whole baseball team was pumped. I just want school to end!

I walked to the maths room and saw everyone was lined up outside. I wonder why?

"Why are we lined up outside?" I asked Bethany squeezing in behind her.
"You know how we were being little shits on Wednesday?" She responded.
"Yeahhh?" I said not knowing where this was going.
"Well remember how she screamed that if we keep acting like year sevens that she'll force us into a seating plan," she edged on.
"Are you fricking serious. That was one day," I groaned.
"Well you know how Miss Shlutz is," she said rolling her eyes.
"It's probably because of her last name," I whispered to Bethany, as the teacher came out holding the roll.

"Well class, let's get this over and done with," Miss Shlutz sighed.
She gave everyone a card and we had to find the card with the same number on it, on a desk.

I found mine in the second last row. I put my books down and waited to see who was going to be sitting next to me.

I looked over to Bethany and saw she was in the second row, next to Fred. She looked at me and mouthed help. I was trying not to laugh and get the class in more trouble. Fred was a genius, but so weird. Bethany and I were in the top class, but we had no idea how we got in it.

I heard someone sit next to me, so I turned to who it was. And to my delight it was Aaron.

"Hello baseball buddy," I greeted grinning.
"Oh hi," he said nervously. He wouldn't meet my eyes. I furrowed my eye brows, but blew it off. What's up with him?

We were taking notes, when I was interrupted by the class passing a note around. The teacher had her back to the class, so she had no clue what was going on.

It got to Aaron and I saw it had his name on it. He was blushing whilst biting his lip anxiously. He quickly glanced over to me out of the corners of his eye. He obviously didn't want me to see what was written, so I drew my attention back to the white board.

He opened the note and looked pale, he wrote something on it and whispered something to the person in front of him. The note got passed around the class again, then I saw arms stop passing it. I didn't quite see where it stopped so I quit worrying about it.

I wonder who he was talking to?

The bell rang for the of start of lunch. Thank god no maths homework. I went to say bye to Aaron, but he was already out the door.

Bethany came over to me and waited for me to pack up all my stuff. We put away all our belongings and went to meet Charley and Jessica outside.

They were whispering and looking worried. When we came over to them they both went dead silent. They avoided my eye contact and kept looking at each other. I looked at them weirdly before sitting down. Charley whispered something into Bethany's ear and she glanced at me and looked worried too.

"Guys what's wrong?" I asked nervously.
"You shouldn't hear it from us," Jessica said looking at the others. They nodded their heads and continued eating.

I started eating my wrap and kept looking at them, while we ate in silence.

We finished eating and I got up to go to the bathroom. I walked away and they started talking again.
