Chapter one

I lay back first on the grass, with my headphones in, watching the clouds move by. The clouds were so peaceful and took their time gliding across the blue sky. The beautiful rays of sunlight caressed my skin. I watched all the children playing around the field, screaming, laughing and running. I smiled. This was the life. I lived in Sunnydale park since I was three, it's a gypsy park. I love it here, being free and not being there in the polluted city with the gorgers.

"Juliet! Get your arse to school. You're going to be late!" Screamed my mother, poking her head out of our trailer's window. I buried my head into the mud and moaned. Don't get me wrong I love learning and school but my school was the worst. Everybody hates me because I'm a gypsy.  But I don't let them harrass me. When they get in my way or attempt to torment me, I beat the crap out of the gorger selves. I go to school because my parents aren't the traditional gypsies who believe that the girls should leave school after they've reached puberty. My parents idolise education.

I got myself off of the ground and made way towards the school. I was wearing a black, full sleeved, lace top and white shorts. My hair was out with a french braid. I felt students staring at me with disgust while I walked towards my locker. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my books out of my locker and made my way towards the form room.

"You're late. Again." Muttered Mr Grouch, my form tutor, while tapping his fingers on the desk. I looked at the clock. Eight fifty nine. "The bell hasn't even gone. There's still a minute left. How am I late?" I replied irritated. He pissed me off; he'd try to argue with me whenever he could. "You should be sitting in your seat five minutes before the bell goes. Not standing in the room a minute before." He yelled in my face, I took a step back and wiped his saliva from my face. I sat down into my seat without speaking to him. He stood there waiting for a reaction but to his distaste I gave no emotion.

I felt somebody tapping my on my shoulder, I turned around and saw Josh Pierce. The guy who thought that everything and anything he says is funny. "So blondie I heard you hooked up with Matt Thompson last night. Did you do one of those gypsy chants on him." He burst out  laughing and the rest of the sheep in the classroom started to laugh also. I stood up and laughed sarcastically and said, "You know if I actually did hook up with Matt last night, he wouldn't live to tell the tale." I retorted and then added, "Although I did hear a rumour that you and Marshall had a little fun together." He blushed tomato red. I smiled and turned around. In the corner of my eye I could see William Schneiz sneaking in. The bastard bull dog didn't even say anything to him. Typical.

He quickly sneaked into the chair next to me and pretended that he was there the whole time. He was the school nerd. He was unfortunately avoided by most people because he was a social suicide due to his intelligence which by the way I think is bull shit. Although he doesn't talk to me because well I'm a gypsy and I don't talk to him because he doesn't talk to me because I'm a gypsy. He has beautiful, brown, tousled hair, green eyes and a perfect face. He turned to look at me and said "What?" I turned to face the ceiling and I heard him shuffle out of the room. I saw a paper of his fall onto the ground. I picked it up and read it:

"If you want to settle things, meet me at the porch at twelve. SR." Who was SR? What did William have to settle? Suddenly the bell went, I wrapped the note and tucked it into my bag.

After I got back from school, I messed around intil it was eleven thirty. I quickly grabbed black trousers, a black hoodie and some black converses. I sneaked out of the trailer and ran towards the beach. I saw a couple of figures in the distance. When I was less than a metre away from them, I hid behind the rocks and eavesdropped.

"You got the money?" The shabby looking blonde guy with a black t-shirt and jeans said to William.

William passed him a bag which looked like it had atleast ten thousand pounds. "Well done. Don't let me down again." He smirked. William flinched and began to walk away. I waited until the dodgy blonde guy disappeared before I sprinted towards William. I grabbed him by the shoulders and he spun round with fear on his face. He then looked at me confused and said "What are you doing here?" I let my hands drop and said "Are you on drugs?" He looked bewildered and replied "Wait what?" I glared at him and said "Who was he? Your drug dealer? William you're supposed to be the good guy!" I babbled.

"How did you know I was to be here?" He asked looking angry. I but my lip and kicked some sand. "You dropped your note in class." He smacked his forehead and muttered something. "This is not good. Not good at all." I felt a little nervous.

"What's not good?" I asked confused. He stared at the ocean and then back at me. He seemed to have been studying my face. "You know too much." He mumbled.

"I can help you." I whispered looking into his eyes. He looked away and said "It's too late." I grabbed him by the hands and said "It's never to late William, never. I can get you help. Please let me help you."

"I'm not a drug addict you fool, I'm in love." I froze and pulled my hands from him. William then began to laugh. He was in love? Why did I feel so disappointed?
