In the room

As Sam and Dean went upstairs, Sam checked over his shoulder to make sure Dean wasn't spying. He crept over to Elaine's room. When he opened the door, he found her buried in covers and pissed. Elaine looked up. It was short. Once she saw who it was she threw her head back down on her mound of pillows. Sam saw the gesture and laid down next to her. Quickly, she turned on the side opposite of Sam.
"Elaine," Sam said,"what's wrong? Ever since Dean came downstairs this morning you've been acting strange."

He watched for a moment. She could feel the bed move when he got up.
Hopefully he will go away. She thought.

Elaine was wrong. He came and laid facing her. Knowing that she would try to turn away, Sam wrapped his arms around her. Elaine also knew there was no escape. She let herself go limp.
"Babe, what's wrong?"

Sam is concerned...about me of all people, she thought.

"I- I just want to be able to not hide from your brother. Sam. I get that he may still have feelings for me, even though it was never that way between us, but I cannot stand barely having time together."

"I know, but I just can't hurt Dean. I've done so much to him throughout the years. Hell, I made him lose-,"he started to whisper,"Lisa and Ben."

Elaine's face went pale. She couldn't believe that he spoke of them. Dean had threatened to break Sam's nose if they were ever mentioned. She was trying to find the right words.

"No you did not. He chose that. Dean chose for Castiel to erase their memory of them."

There was a knock at the door. The muffled sound of Dean's voice came through.

"Where's Sam at?"

Elaine started to panic.

"Uh... I don't know."

The second Dean left, Elaine gave Sam a stern look. Dean had gone downstairs and heard yelling. He went up the stairs because he didn't know why Sam was going berserk.
"ELAINE! NO! DEAN CANNOT FI-"
Dean busted open the door.
"What in the hell is going on?"

Elaine was in tears and her face was red. She ran out of her room. Dean watched and waited until she was gone. When he knew he was clear, he threw his hands up at Sam. Sam wasn't happy with Elaine and more than her, himself.
"Dude, what the hell?"
"Dean it's not important."
"Yes it is. She just ran out crying!"
Sam looked down on his feet. He knew Dean was right.

It is important. She is important. I need her and I blew it. I have to tell Dean. Sam thought.

Sam swallowed the lump in his throat.
"Elaine and I have been together for three weeks."

Dean was taken by surprise. His jaw hung there.

"But don't get mad at her. She has wanted to tell you since it started."

"You are worried about my temper towards her? You need to work on that. Now my anger towards you... Is a complete different story. And dude just tell me. I am fine with it. But I'm not sure if there is gonna be much romance after what happened."

Dean kept his cool. Although, deep down inside, he was crushed. His purpose for living was Sam, Bobby, and now Elaine. Dean didn't know what to do and neither did Sam.
