Standing by the door, just waiting for you.
I can imagine the sighed and sound
Of your truck pulling in front of my house.
It's painful, but I do it.Music's loud,
Artist's mind is flowing,
But I still see you...
Standing in my doorway. My mind goes back
I can hear your heart beat
I can feel your loving arms around me
I feel your warmth as my ear is pressed against your chest.I die every day
Waiting for you to return.I see you out with your friends,
I'm back in reality.
I watch you having fun,
But I know I'm not part of it.I'm just another face in the crowd,
But I can't help but keep loving you.My mind goes back,
We're on the phone
Discussing who's hanging up first.
You said you loved me, and I loved you too.
That's not how things are anymore.Standing by the door, just waiting for you.
As my music plays, I remember.I'm not yours anymore.
Standing by the door,
My tears slowly fall.
At least you're happy now...Even if it means I'm not there.
