Chapter: 5

Tyler had performed his whole set list and one by one the people in the lounge started to leave leaving only Tyler, his manager, me and a few others. The people who were left were really enjoying themselves and It's was probably around two AM. Rusty had closed the bar to the public so Tyler and what was left of his crew could have the run of the place. Carlo clocked out about two hours before and left along with Trevor leaving me Rusty and Jerry who was the watch on the opened back door to run things. We were no longer in the lounge but on the main floor when Tyler's manager took a few of the girls back to the bus. Rusty was kicked back in her usual chair and I had just slid her the usual mug of Samuel Adams when the song "Give It All We Got" by George Strait came on and I was asked to dance.

" Shelby I love this song would you mind dancing with me?" Tyler asked as I stepped around onto the main floor.

" I.. I'm. " I stuttered.

" Damn right she will." Rusty answered pushing me into his arms with her booted foot.

He caught me in mid trip and I grinned shyly as he moved me to the open floor. I couldn't help but think back to the nights that Cole and I use to spend on this dance floor after my long night's of work. The way he held me so close.. Now days he was too busy with his music or his trips with the boys. God I missed our date nights I thought as Tyler spun me round and I laughed when he dipped me back looking down at me with a cocky smirk.

" Excuse me can I cut in there buddy." I heard Cole's voice say from behind me.

" Sorry man you'll have to find your own girl." Tyler told him.

" Cole! You're home!" I said excited to see him since he said he was staying an extra night or two.

" Sorry buddy but this girl is mine." Cole told him with a cocky grin as I pulled away and hugged him tight.

" Oh sorry, Cole this is Tyler Farr.. Tyler this is my boyfriend Cole Swindell." I said introducing the two and I watched them shake hands and when they finished Cole pulled me in close as Tyler walked past us.

I smiled when the song changed.. it was Tyler's "Redneck Crazy". Cole and I walked over to the bar where Tyler stood with Rusty and Cole stood on the opposite side of her as I went around the bar and reached into the cooler for two Millers and a Bud Light and popped the tops hand Tyler his and I slid Cole his tipping mine up to my lips.

" Hey isn't this one of your favorite songs?" Cole asked me.

" Umm.. Yeah." I said a little nervous as I saw the smile spread across Tyler's face.

" Yes that's right you said he has a sexy voice. That it's relaxing that's why you like to listen to it while you soak in the bath." Cole continued.

" Oh really?" Tyler asked looking at me from across the bar.

" Shut up Cole!" I blurted out embarrassed.

" What babe? That's what you said." He looked at me .

" Yeah.. Ok I said it." I admitted.

" Why are you acting all embarrassed baby?" He asked confused because normally that wasn't me.

" Cole meet Tyler Farr the singer who's voice your girlfriend finds so sexy." Rusty said leaning back and pointing over at Tyler.

At this point the smile dropped from Cole's face and Tyler's spread. I didn't say a word I just looked at Rusty who was smiling from ear to ear. I shook my head and tipped my beer back killing it in one huge gulp. I tossed the bottle into the trash and reached back into the cooler for another.

" Hell darlin poor us all a shot to go with the beer." Tyler said still smirking at me until he placed his beer to his lips.

" Get down the Patron baby girl." Rusty said pointing to the wall of liquor behind me.

I did as I was told and as I bent over the counter to reach the shelf I remembered how sort my shorts were and hoped no one but Cole would notice. Unfortunately that was not the case.. I turned back around to see Rusty elbow Tyler trying to hold back a snicker. I grabbed four shot glasses and poured them full before passing them to everyone. I didn't mess around I picked mine up and threw it back.

" Damn baby I love that about you.. You don't play with your alcohol and you can sure as hell hold it well." Cole smiled looking at me with a grin.

" That's my girl.. One of the many reasons she is my number one here." Rusty smiled.

Again the song changed.. It was "Drunk On You " by Luke Bryan and I looked over at Cole with the hope that he would ask me to dance.

" Come on baby let's hit the floor. It's been a while." He smiled standing up to take my hand as I came around the bar with my new beer in my free hand.

I felt the big smile on my face as he jerked me in close and started to sing to me as we danced.

" Your lookin so good in what's left of those blue jeans.. Drip of honey on the money maker gotta be the best buzz I'm ever gonna find..." He sang and twirled me around to hold me from behind and I pulled my beer up to drink as he whispered in my ear.

" Let me take you home baby. We can relax, you can take a soak in the tub and I'll rub your feet and when you are done we can cuddle up in bed with a beer and a move.. Your choice." He whispered.

" Hey Rust I'm out for the night babe. What time do you need me tonight?" I asked walking up to the bar holding Cole's hand pulling him behind me.

" OK babe run and clock out then come give me a damn hug." She told me and I dropped Cole's hand to walk back to the office.

I tossed my bottle in the trash then clocked out and came back to the bar to count down the register drawer and when I was finished I walked around to hug Rusty.

" Go home and relax chick I'll see ya tonight at six twenty." She told me and as I turned to the leave Tyler stepped up.

"Good night Shelby and thank you for helpin to make this one hell of a night. Maybe I'll see ya around some time." He smiled and I hugged him.

" You're welcome Tyler it was my pleasure and I hope we do." I said feeling Cole's hand on my lower back.
