"Well, well, well, I didn't expect to see you here." I turn and see Blake standing behind me looking hot, which seems kinda normal for him, in an unbuttoned shirt and shorts.
"Yeah, I didn't expect to see you at my party either." I say smiling at him.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about Chris. He can be an ass at times," Blake says not really making eye contact.
"No, it's fine." I say quickly butting in. "I know how guys can be. I'm living with three." Three assholes, I think.
"Still, what he said what completely unnecessary."
"Don't worry about it. I love compliments. Can I get you a drink?," I offer. "I may not be able to buy it or know how to mix it, but I do have an in with the bartender." I say winking.
"Sure, why not," Blake agrees and we head over to where Luke is working the bar.
"Hello, beautiful." Luke says smiling at me. "What have I done to recieve the honor to have you speak to me at this party," he says being overly dramatic.
"You're working the bar," I reply shortly.
"Oh, c'mon, Angelface. They didn't mean anything by the bet. They're just being stupid guys," Luke says mixing up two drinks for us. "Cut them a break."
"I'd rather help the fates cut my life string than cut them a break." I say as he gives Blake and me our drinks.
"What was that about?" Blake asks as we head into the living room where everyone is dancing.
"If you stick around I might tell you," I say. "But if you have better things to do than dance and drink with me, then I guess you'll never know." I tease and suck on my straw.
Blake takes a drink and pulls me closer to him. "Let's dance."
