Chapter 6: Smells Kinda Fishy...

So about the king sized bed... Things weren't that bad! Fluttershy gave me a bunch of space and we just talked for an hour about past adventures we have had. She didn't have much to say, but I entertained her wth stories about Europe and Canada!

As the sun rised, it peaked through the window and began to burn my face. (what a wake up call...) After being nearly blinded I turned around to wake up Fluttershy, but she was already gone.

"Shy? You up?" I mumbled while stretching my body. I heard the clinking of pots and pans and the sizzling of bacon.

"Hmm, what's that Rainbow?" I heard Fluttershy say in the kitchen. I got up and walked to her to see what was going on. "Oh, your making breakfast." I smiled.

"Yes! Eggs and bacon for you and some toast for me." Fluttershy doesn't eat
meat that often (because she feels bad for the animals) but she can surely cook it! She then prepared a plate of crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. I took the plate and sat down at the table. And oh my lord it was delicious.

"Fluttershy, this is incredible!" I shouted, mouth full of bacon and eggs. But for some reason, deep down in my soul, I felt as though this was wrong... Like in an alternate universe, eating bacon was disgusting... HAHA SURE!

"Oh thank you Dashie!" She carefully picked up the hot toast and came over to the table. "Can you marry me just for your cooking?" I joked. Fluttershy giggled, "Who wouldn't?"

Wow. Fluttershy never speaks like that. That was pretty funny. I felt, proud. Fluttershy began to smear the toast with butter.

"So where did you get the food anyway?" I asked her while crunching more bacon. "Well while you were sleeping I went downstairs to the lobby and asked them if they had any raw bacon and eggs. They were so kind and they gave me some. I also got the bread from the breakfast bar." Fluttershy began munching on her bread.

"Nice Fluttershy, I'm glad you did that." We continued to eat and talk until I felt as though it was time to head out and do something.

"Alright, we have a full day to to WHATEVER! So, what should we do for the official day 1?" I announced while standing in front of Fluttershy. She took a moment to think about what I said.

"Well, we went to the beach yesterday... How about we go see a movie? Or...maybe not..." Just when I thought she was going to proudly suggest something, she sort of lost it.

"A movie sounds great Fluttershy, but what is there to watch?" I seriously didn't know of any new movies that would interest the two of us. Fluttershy took out her phone and scrolled through some new movies.

"How about this one at 10:00pm. It's called 'Cupcakes' and it looks so cute." She showed me a picture. It was of a pink pony who oddly resembled my friend Pinkie Pie. She was smiling while holding multiple assortments of cupcakes, one being rainbow. It looked super sappy to me but, for Fluttershy's sake, I agreed.

"Okay, so that's at 10pm... why so late though?" I wondered aloud. Fluttershy shrugged. "So in the mean time, what else can we do? Other then the beach." She asked me.

"Hmm... Well there is plenty to do here, but I need to look at a flier or something..." I searched the room to see if there were any. "I think I saw a few in the lobby!" She shouted. So, with that, we got dressed in casual summer clothes and headed downstairs.

"There they are!" Fluttershy pointed to a rack of brochures and pamphlets. We started looking through a few. There were a few museums around here, many shops, parks, restaurants and even a giant motocross stadium!

"Oh oh oh! Dashie look!" She grabbed my upper arm and showed me a picture of a petting zoo. "Can we please go there? Please?!" She seemed super excited. The petting zoo was full of barnyard animals. It didn't seem local. "Fluttershy I don't think-" "No not that! This!" She pointed to a picture of a sea turtle. An aquarium! That sounds perfect!

"Yeah! That looks great! We should go there today!" All though the aquarium can seem boring, I've always found th to be cool. Plus, ANIMALS! Fluttershy will really enjoy herself!

The aquarium was a 20 minute walk, which was fine by me, but Fluttershy was tired out by the time we got there.

"Can I go get water please?" She begged. I passed her my bottle. "Take a sip, I don't mind." She gave me a weak smile and took the bottle. She drank about half of it. Wow...

We went into the aquarium and actually had a lot of fun. We took pictures with sea turtles and dolphins, pet sting rays, ate at the aquarium restaurant, and invaded the gift shop. Fluttershy would have bought almost every stuffed animal in the store, but I limited her to two. She got a sea lion and a cute seahorse plushy. I bought a cool sea turtle bracelet and some cool shades. God it was fun!

We arrived back after spending hours there. If was about time that we had dinner so we stopped by a Chipotle. Fluttershy got a salad. (who does that at Chipotle?!)

"I can't wait!" Fluttershy squealed. "Yeah, I can't wait to pass this burrito too." I burped. The burrito didn't like me. Fluttershy giggled loudly, "No silly, I mean I can't wait for the cute movie!"

I had totally forgot about the movie. It was already almost seven, so we had only a few hours. We spent our time in the gaming room of the suite. The only games they had were Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, and Super Smash. I KILLED IN ALL OF THEM! Fluttershy wasn't very good, but still enjoyed playing.

"Rainbow it's 9:30, we should head out to the theatre now." Fluttershy suggested, putting down her controller. "Yeah, good idea. Come on, the walk isn't too far." I walked out and grabbed my phone and wallet. She grabbed her bag and we stepped outside.

"It's really dark... and I'm scared..." Fluttershy held on to me.

"Don't worry baby." *stomps on ground* *sketchers light up*

...

Okay, that didn't happen! Instead I used my phone flashlight and said "I got you.". (but you gotta admit that was funny)

"Welp, Cupcakes here we come!"
