"Well we shouldn't just leave her out here!" I screamed into Logan's face as He continued to pull on the sleeve of my pink shredded blouse.
"She's basically dead, Mars, DEAD! can't you fucking see that already!" Logan said as he shook my shoulders heavily.
"But she still has a pulse! She has a chance to live!" I cried as I ripped out of Logan's tight hold, running up to the smothered vehicle.
"Jesus, Mars, will you just listen! She's gone. Now let's leave before the police arrive."
My brain ached and my heart stopped as I looked back again at the limping and almost lifeless body of Alia. Her eyes flicked gently and her slim raspberry coated lips formed an O as bloody saliva drooped down the corners of her mouth.
"Marigold, we are fucking fifteen minutes away from a fucking police station? Does that mean anything to you!" Danny shouted as I wiped my eyes with the tips of my sleeves.
"Which means we can report our accident to the police!" I hissed through wet hot tears.
"You must be crazy if you think I'm going to prison for accidental manslaughter!" Croaked Rose as she lifted the sides of her luminescent yellow sun dress to brush off the shards of glass.
"Not only could we be kicked out of school, but we could arrested. Has that ever occurred to you!" Said Rose as she pulled the remains of her dress up her waist to check for other pieces of glass.
"And our parents could be sued for negligence" spat Danny. "You must be damned if you think for a secound we are staying at this scene. "This isn't worth losing my lacrosse scholarship. No fucking way, Marigold."
"But guys-"
"Mars, honey? She was a BITCH" Rose spat into my face. "Now let's go!"
Sonny tugged gently on my arm as she ran around the battered engine. I quickly snatched my hand from Sonny as I thought about what Rose had just said. Sure Alia could be a lot to handle at points, but she was still our friend and friends don't treat friends like this-
I felt Danny's warm but clammy hands swiftly pick me up by my legs and sling my body onto his back as Rose, Logan, and him ran away...

"You haven't touched your corn flakes." My head quickly shot up along with my bowl of corn flakes which had quickly plummeted to the ground. The neon green traditional glass bowl with caricatures of chickens on it shattered on the floor, over lappeung the pieces of cereal and stretching stream of soy milk.
"Oh My goodness, Marigold. First you arrive home two hours away from the time you wake up for school and now you decide to break Mamaw's famous bowl?" Said my mom as she shook her head and grabbed a broom and dustpan.
"It was an accident! I didn't mean for it to happen!" I squealed as I shot up from my seat.
"Maybe you should've thought about that before coming home around 3 a.m. and then finding yourself ending up sleeping on the table during family breakfast!" Cried my mom.
"It was one night okay! We thought we were having fun! I didn't know it was all going to turn downhill!" I screamed, my heart throbbing heavily in my chest.
"What in the hell are you talking about?" Said my Dad as he looked up from the news paper he always seemed engulfed in.
My mom and dad both looked towards my way in a concerned expression. My little brother, Wade stopped giggling in his high chair also seeming to somehow express a worried look.
My cheeks blushed up into a fiery red, exposing how I was a deer caught in the headlights.
"Did anything occur last night that we should know about?" My mom said as she fixed serious eyes on mine, my Dad folding his arms across his chest.
"Nope just worried about Mamaw's bowl" I said as I quickly grabbed my purple Jan's port backpack from the back of my chair.
"Gotta head to school! Love you!"
I left the house before they could really see through me.
