In the year 2027, Haley Grey, an avid Christian passes away after being hit by a car. Now in the hospital in her last minutes alive, she prays for a safe trip to heaven and to see her grandfather again. At 12:30 PM, she passes away. She begins a steady journey upward from her deceased physical body towards a cloud which she believes is Heaven, only to find that it it walled off and through a golden gate, she can see heroic icons such as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but no average humans. The man at the gate stares at her, shakes his head and presses a well worn button. She falls from the cloud into the ground below. The ground opened up to reveal the fiery pits of hell. "No!" She screamed as she was pulled into hell, never to be seen again. She continues to plummet through the fiery inferno until she reaches what appears to be a boardroom with five other people in it.
"Name?" The man on her far left asks her.
"Um, Haley Grey. And why am I here, what is this-" She was cut off
"Age?" The other man on her left asked.
"26, please tell me why I'm-" She was cut off again.
"Country and state/province?" The man on her far right asked.
"United States and Utah."
"Committed any heroic acts in your lifetime?"
"I once gave someone an extra dollar at the store, does that count?"
"No, it doesn't." The man in the center said.
He reached out his hand to shake hers. She grabbed it hesitantly.
"My name's Lucifer, welcome to Hell, kid."
"What!? Why am I in Hell?" Haley yelled.
"No heroic acts and no Royal family, No ties to anything or anyone who has been heroic. Everybody who is just 'average' ends up here in Hell, below us is the dungeon. Those who were very evil and demons go down there. Not very fun. That's where the eternal suffering shit happens. Your 'religion' has lied to you."
"So I won't suffer?"
"Not at all, this place is modeled after a big mall or city. The only Hellish part is the red sky, that's why most everything is inside of buildings that are all connected. There's air conditioning too." Lucifer said.
"Well that's one relief."
"But, there has been a break out. Every monster, demon, nightmare, and soulless being has broken free from the dungeon and are threatening the well being of Hell, so watch yourself. The door is behind you, I look forward to seeing you do well here."
"Um, ok. Bye, Satan!"
"It's Lucifer."
Haley walked out and saw a large mall area. Thousands of people seemed to be living average lives as if they never even died. Shops, restaurants, hotels, bars, and businesses lined the walls as far as the eye could see. There were a seemingly endless amount of floors going upwards. At the bottom was grass and a large river running forward with many curves and creases. This place seemed like what heaven what described as.
"I think this place is going to be alright" she said to herself.
