You walked alongside Yun, as he escorted you back to your home. This was one of the only times where you were really happy. These little moments with Yun kept you content. You continued to walk through the cold Christmas eve, being kept warm with the thick jacket you wore. Atleast, that's what Yun though. He had no idea what that jacket was really hiding. He knew that you always wore long sleeves and jackets, but he never knew why. Even when the sun would bring down it's hottest rays, you would always cover yourself with long sleeves. He really wanted to understand why, but at the same time he didn't want to invade your privacy. So, he never asked. He led you to your doorstep, and stopped there.

"Thanks for walking me Yun, I really appreciate it." You said.

"No problem, that's what friends are for right?" He replied. You walked closer and wrapped your arms around his neck, giving him a friendly hug. He wrapped his arms around your waist, returning your hug. You felt so happy in his arms. You wanted to stay there, and not face the horrors of the home you were about to enter. Your feelings for him had developed over time. In fact he was who kept you the happiest. Sadly, you didn't know if he shared the same feelings for you. You two parted from each other, and said your farewells.

"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow. Merry Christmas" You say. He smiles back.

"Merry Christmas, have a good night." He kindly replies. As he started walking away, you turned around to the door, and just stood, staring at it. You wondered if it was really worth going in, or if you should just spend the night outside. You turned to sleep in the driveway, only to see Yun still standing there, wanting to make sure you got inside safely. You waved, and slowly went inside.

As soon you shut the door, a beer bottle came flying at full speed towards you. You barely dodged it, and it smashed against the wall next to you. You stood still for a moment, hoping to stay hidden behind darkness. You quietly walked, and attempted to make it upstairs. Just when you thought you were safe, lights started to bright up the room, and fear filled inside you. The back of your jacket was pulled, and you were thrown to the ground. As soon as you looked up, your head was kicked down. You were kicked repeatedly, and your ribs were in so much pain.

"Don't look at me, you filthy scum!" This phrase was shouted, and your side was kicked once again.

"I'm sorry...mom..." You replied. You looked up with swollen eyes. All that came in reply was a beer bottle smashed against your head.

"Don't you dare apologize. You could care less. It's your fault, it's all your fault that your father left us! You weren't good enough for him, and that's why he left. Because of you my life has been ruined! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" She yelled. You bit your lip, holding back tears. You tried so hard not to believe it, but you couldn't help it. It was your fault. You were the reason that your father left you.

"That little boy Yun, I can't believe he even sticks around you. He must be faking it. There is no way someone can be happy alongside others. All you are capable of doing is ruining everything you touch." She grabbed you and through you outside.

"Stay out you filthy animal!" She yelled. You laid there on the porch.

"Well, looks like I was going to sleep out here anyway." You said to yourself. It may have been a quiet night, but your mind was the loudest place there could be. All you could think was that it was your fault. You weren't good enough for anyone. You started to think of Yun, and you were happy for a minute. However, the bad side of your mind infiltrated your thoughts. You believed everything that your mom had said about you. If you weren't good enough for your father, there was no way you would be good enough for Yun. Tears ran down your face, and you cried your heart out. You dragged yourself behind a bush in front of your porch, being hopeful that no one would see you. As cold as it was, you're fatigue took over and you're eyes fluttered shut.
