Chapter 4

Avi POV

I walk out of the house and see Esther with the trunk open. "Need help?" I ask and she nods.  "Yeah." I go to grab some bags when I hear a slight whimper. I freeze and immediately know it came from Kirstie. I drop whatever was in my hands and run inside. I burst through the door just in time to see Janet dragging Kirstie's limp body. All I can see is red. I run full speed at Janet and slam her against the wall. "What are you doing?" I ask through gritted teeth. " Getting rid of this trash." She says acting innocent. My fingers wrap around her neck and I pick up off the ground. "She is no piece of trash in fact that is your Luna. Scratch that she is you ex-Luna, you are now a rouge. " I say while walking towards the door. I open it and toss her out into the yard. "If I ever catch you on my territory my warriors will not hesitate to kill you ." I yell as she runs off. As soon as she is out of my sigh I run back to where Kirstie is.

I quickly pick her up and go to our room to lay her down. I go to set her down but she lets out a whimper and hold onto my arm when I go to move away. "Please don't leave." She says quietly. "Ok." I get on the other side of the bed and climb in with her. "How are you feeling?" She shrugs. "My head and around my eyes hurt but that's it." I kiss the top of her head. "I'm sorry." She just shrugs again and lays her head on my chest. I run my fingers through her hair. When she is fully asleep I mind link my Beta, Kevin. 'Please let everyone know that Janet has been exiled and is now rouge. If she is seen on the territory she is to be killed.' A few minutes later he respond. 'Yes Alpha.' I put up my wall in the link and relax.

I hear a groan and open my eyes to find Kirstie rubbing the back of her head looking confused. "Kirstie?" I ask while sitting up also. She turns her head and I notice the tears in her eyes. "I can see you." I gasp. "How?" She shrugs. "I must have had to do with the blow I took to the back of my head." She says with a giant smile. I pull her into a bone crushing hug. "This is amazing!" I practically yell. She laughs and pulls away. "I'm hungry, come on let go get breakfast." She says while standing up. I follow and we head downstairs. We reach the last step and Kirstie runs into the kitchen.

KIRSTIE POV

I run into the kitchen and see my brother at the table facing away from me. I run over and kiss his cheek before taking a seat in front of him. He looks up confused at first, but when he sees its me his eyes widen. "How did you know I was sitting here?" He asks. Just then Avi walks in and stands behind me. "I can see you." I say while trying to not cry. Scott jumps out of his seat and pulls me up into hug. "I can't believe you can see again." I nod and lay my head on his chest. "Wait how did this happen?" He asks. "I took a hard blow to the head yesterday." I say quietly. Behind me I hear Avi let out a low growl. I let go of Scott and walk over to Avi. "It's ok." I say while rubbing his back to calm him down. He lets out a breath and nods. "Anyways,, the blow must have done something to my eyes." "Is it permanent?" I shrug. "I hope so that was a horrible 3 years." Scott nods. After a few minutes of silence I speak up. "Well enough of this sad stuff. Lets go do something!" I yell before running upstairs to get dressed. I throw on pink high waisted shorts and a white t-shirt that says, '99.9% sure I'm a Disney princess'. Once I'm dressed I go back downstairs and wait for everyone else.

We pull up outside of an older looking building and head in. "What is this place?" I ask while we walk to the front door. "Why just the best restaurant ever!" Avi says while holding the door open for me. Inside I find a cute little diner, with a stage set up in the back. We go sit down in front of the stage and watch as people get up and sing. "You should get up there Kit." Scott says. I shake my head. "I couldn't, you know how I get in front of crowds." Scott gives me a look. "Kirstie there are maybe 10 people here. Please do it for me." He gives me puppy dog eyes and I crack. "Fineeeee. But you owe me big time." I go over and flip through the songs, while flipping I find my favorite song from when I was younger. I choose that song and get on stage.

While singing I see the more and more people are coming in. I start to get nervous so I look over at Avi. He gives me a reassuring smile and I feel a little more confident. When the next line comes I sing out louder.

Well I see trees of green and red roses too,

And I see clouds of white

And I think to myself

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands
Singing, "How do you do?"
They're really singing, "I, I love you."

I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than we'll know
And I think to myself

The song ends and the room burst into applause. I blush and walk over to Avi, who wraps his arms around me. "You did amazing." I kiss his cheek. "Thank you." I sit back down and Esther starts going on about how I should start a career singing. I just laugh. "I think I'm good right where I am." She just shrugs. Just then our waitress comes over. "Are you ready to order?" She ask. We all tell her what we want. For the rest of the night we enjoy hanging out and watching people sing
