Chapter 6

"Can I s-" I'm cut off by Kirstie's screams. I immediately run to where I hear them coming from. "Kirstie what's wrong." I say as I run through the door. "I cant see!" She yells.

Kirstie POV

I start to sob when I feel Avi pull me into his chest. "Why is this happening, why does the Moon Goddess want my life to be miserable?" Avi starts to rub my back and whisper in my ear. "Maybe there is a good reasoning behind this. Maybe she is testing you because she know just how strong you are." I sniffle and try to stop my tears from flowing. "I don't know if I can do this Avi. It's hard being a Luna even when you can do everything by yourself, but not being able to see. How am I suppose to help take care of the pack, going at it literally blind." "You are going to be the best Luna there has ever been, I can tell. And so what if you can see, that just means the pack is going to love and protect you twice as much." "You think so?" "I know so. Now come on, half the pack is waiting outside for you." I nod and he helps me up. "Please tell me I have my normal clothes on." I say. "Yes, Esther gave them to the doctor right after I brought you in." I nod again and he takes my hand. "How long was I out?" "Not to long, about three hours." Right as he says that I feel something hard hit my body and I fall down. I let out a scream and I instantly feel several people around me. "Avi, who's there." "What does she mean who's there?" I hear Esther ask. "I can't see you." I say crying all over again. She pulls me into a hug and soon I am in the middle of a giant group hug.

Once we got home from the hospital it is 4:30 so I head upstairs to go to bed.

DREAM

I sit up and look around, I am sitting in the middle of an open field. "Hello?" I call out. Just then I see a figure come down from the sky. I instantly sense their power and bow my head. "Please child look at me." I lift me head and see the figure is none other than the Moon Goddess her self. I gasp and get to my feet. "I am here to tell you that you are more powerful than you know, and to not loose hope." I look at her confused. "What does that mean?" "It means that there are trials you are going through, but in the end you will come out on top." Just then I feel a slight pain in my side. I pull my shirt up slightly and notice a mark shaped like the moon, with a flower and gems.

"This is the mark of the Moon Goddess. With this you will always be connected with me." I nod and look back at the mark. "I must go child but this isn't the last time you will see me." She starts to fade but before she fully gone I ask one more question. "Why am I not blind now?" "I allowed you to see now. When you wake up you will still be blind, but remember Trials. "And with that she is gone.

AWAKE

I shoot up in bed with sweet pouring down my face. Next to me I feel Avi rubbing my back. "What's wrong?" "Can you check my side?" I can just imagen his confused face. "Ok?" I lift my shirt up and hear him gasp. 'What is that?" "I talked to the Moon Goddess, she said that with this mark I have a connection with her." I let out a sigh and lay back. "What time is it?" I feel him adjust him self before he talks. "9:30." "I guess we should get up." I throw my legs over the bed and stand up. "Will you pick me out some clothes?" "Yeah."

Once I'm dressed Avi takes me downstairs and into the kitchen. "Hello Luna." Someone says and I smile in the direction I heard the voice. "So what do you want for breakfast?" Avi asks. I shrug. "Surprise me." "Ok." Next thing I hear is pots and pans hitting each other. For the rest of the morning I listen to everything going around the house, or talk to my new family.
