"Ow," Lucy groaned softly in response to the pounding headache that had shoved her out of her rest. She lifted her hand to rest across her forehead and frowned slightly as her arm brushed across something...hair-like. Out of curiosity, she slowly opened her eyes...
And almost immediately, her blood went cold.
A girl with long, golden hair was crouching atop Lucy, staring at her with two dark orbs that seemed to be consumed in bloodlust. And to make it worse, the other girl had a small knife against Lucy's neck, just far enough so that the blade barely touched the skin over her throat.
"Who are you...?" Lucy hissed.
"What? You don't remember me? And here I was thinking we'd have a beautiful reunion." The girl smiled sarcastically.
On instinct, Lucy screamed out at the top of her lungs.
But all that came out was a soft groan.
After a terrifying moment of silence, the girl chuckled softly, a smirk of knowingness spread across her lips.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, sweetie," The girl crooned, pressing the knife down so that it slightly pierced Lucy's throat. "Aww. It seems that our time together' been cut short," the girl sighed as the first sign of morning shot through the windows and calmly got off the bed. "I'll see you soon, Miss Dragon Princess." She spat out Lucy's title as she unlocked the dorm door and walked out as if nothing had happened.
"Was that truly necessary, Diane?" Asked a robed, dark haired mage once the girl left the dormitory completely.
"Is it so wrong for myself to finally meet the young princess?" Diane cackled. "Besides, why does it matter to you so much, Zeref?"
The dark haired Mage simply ignored her question silently. Diane sighed and looked over at Artemis, the small exceed that stood beside Zeref, for some support, but he ignored her.
"Cocky little cat." Diane hissed, knowing that Artemis was ignoring her for his own pleasure.

"This morning was so fucked up," Lucy said to Cleo. "I can't believe you didn't wake up! I was almost killed!" She whined playfully and nudged the exceed.
"Well I'm sorry for not setting an alarm or something." Cleo huffed in her own childish way.
"Lu-Lucy?" Wendy whispered softly as she touched Lucy's arm.
"Mm?"
"There's an imposter in the guild."
"And?" Lucy puffed out a breath of air through her mouth idly.
"The person's saying that she's y-you."
"Come again?" Lucy shot up and let her eyes dart around the guild until they landed on one girl.
One girl that smiled and laughed along with the teary-eyed others.
"I can't believe you're alive, Lu-chan!" Levy cried tears of joy as she buried her head into the girl's shoulder.
"What the hell—" Lucy caught her breath as the imposter faced her.
The girl from this morning...
"I'm Lucy Heartfilia," the girl smiled brightly. "Do you want anything?"
"W-what? Of course not." Lucy sputtered in fear.
What's she trying to play at?
"Oh? I just saw you watching me and I assumed that you wanted something," she smiled embarrassedly. "Sorry!"
"Aww, you poor little baby," Skylar's voice crooned from behind Lucy. "Trying to dress up and pretend you're someone you're not? I didn't know you were that insecure about yourself!" She mocked, feigning worry.
"What're you talking about, silly! I thought you'd know that we're actually encouraged to be ourselves here." The girl emitted a forced laugh, but annoyance was clearly visible on her face.
"Bitch, do you understand the meaning of 'yourself'?"
"Bitch," The girl echoed blankly. "Do I look like a female dog to you?"
"Sure do," Skylar retorted. "Always begging for attention. That's what dogs do, right?" She arched her eyebrows slightly.
There was a short moment of silence before the girl walked over, leaned in so that her lips almost touched Skylar's ear, and whispered, "Little girls shouldn't worry themselves about adult issues," She mocked lowly. "They might get themselves into trouble." The girl leaned back and cocked her head softly.
Skylar opened her mouth, a comeback ready on her tongue. But she was too late; the girl had already walked off.
"I'm older than you, you know!" Skylar exclaimed, cupping her hands around her mouth. "Psh. What's her deal?" She huffed. But Lucy said nothing, her full attention on the girl who had almost killed her this morning.
The girl who had somehow controlled Lucy's body when she had tried calling for help.
Then, as if Lucy's eyes were moving on their own, she locked eyes with her imposter. Lucy stood a bit taller and squared her shoulders in an attempt to look intimidating.
What a joke! The other girl's eyes seemed to cackle.
"D-i-a-n-e," Lucy mouthed slowly, not knowing where the letters came from. The other girl—Diane—widened her eyes slightly in shock for a split second before they narrowed, forcing an overwhelming surge of fear upon Lucy.
Lucy sank to her knees, holding herself in fear as she looked up at Diane, who was smirking superiorly.
"You...you're the one who made me all crazy the other day...and this morning..." Lucy breathed softly, clenching her eyes shut. "Why? Why do you do that? What did I ever do to you?" She cried out and lifted her head again.
"What did you do, huh?" Diane hissed, her breath hitching slightly right before a foot slammed against the side of Lucy's head, bringing her to the floor. "How charming. The bitch doesn't even know what she's done. You make me sick." She sneered and spat onto the floor next to Lucy's head before kicking her back down.
