Lucy spun slowly in a circle, staring at her reflection in the crystal mirror. She wore an ice blue dress that hugged her torso and flowed out at her waist in soft pastel colors.
"Oh, you look beautiful, Lucy!" Layla smiled at her daughter.
"Thanks, mom," Lucy gave a small smile. "When do you think I'll be able to go back to Fairy Tail?" She asked, not knowing the rumors of her "death".
"Go back? No, Lucy, you must train and gain new powers to become a powerful heir." Layla shook her head.
"What? Okay, when will I be able to go back?" Lucy's voice wavered.
"You must train for five years...after that, you will be able to go back to your guild."
"Five years?!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Yes...but it is your decision. Do what you believe is right in your heart." Layla nodded solemnly.
If I go back, what if they shut me out again? But if I stay, when I go back to Fairy Tail, nobody would dare call me weak! Lucy considered.
"I made up my mind: I'll stay." Lucy gave her mother a bright smile as she saw Layla's eyes crinkle a bit in happiness.
"So what magic will I be learning?" Lucy asked.
"All the different kinds of Dragon Slayer magic, and more," Layla smirked with false arrogance. "Come to the main room when you're ready." She said before leaving through the door. Lucy nodded and grabbed her key holder, noticing when a slightly crumpled picture fell out. When Lucy saw the picture, she felt her eyes sting. It was a picture of all of Fairy Tail standing in front of the guild. Team Natsu stood in the front.
"Is that my son?" Igneel's voice asked suddenly.
"Shit!" Lucy shrieked and jumped. Igneel, the rest of the dragons, and Layla we're in the room.
When did they get there?! Lucy thought.
"Y-yeah, that's Natsu." Lucy choked out.
"Are you two dating?" He asked in a  casual manner.
"Huh?! Why would you say that?!" Lucy felt her face turning scarlet. Then she looked to where Igneel was staring and saw why he suggested it: Natsu had an arm around Lucy's shoulders and Lucy had her head rested on Natsu's shoulders.
"Oh, Wendy! She's grown so much!" A woman with dark blue hair and a flowing sky blue dress who Lucy guessed was Grandine gushed.
"Is that Gajeel? My, my." A man with long dark hair and many iron piercings who Lucy guessed was Metalicana said, nodding approvingly.
"So do you and Natsu have a relationship?" Igneel asked, smirking at Lucy's expression.

Meanwhile, at a Train Station...
"Lucy's such an idiot!" Natsu grumbled, still not knowing of Lucy's death.
"Aye!" Happy flew above the Dragon Slayer's head.
"But," Natsu looked the Exceed in the eye. "She's our idiot."
"Hmm," Happy got a sly look in his eyes. "But weren't you the one who kicked her off of Team Natsu?"
"I-it was Erza's idea." Natsu stammered as they got into the train.
"You liiike her." Happy said as they sat down.
"Stop rolling your tongue like tha--" Natsu was interuppted by a huge wave of motion sickness.
"You can't denyyy it." Happy declared, rolling his tongue, knowing that Natsu was too sick to argue.

Three years later...
"You can do it, Princess!" Grandine cheered Lucy on. Lucy took a heaving breath; she had been training for hours.
"Roar of the Sky Dragon!" Lucy screamed. The attack gave the dragon only a few small scratches.
"Good work, princess! That's the most damage you've ever done!" Unfortunately, Grandine was telling the truth.
"Now, I'll take you to Igneel for Fire Dragon Slayer training and after that Igneel will take you to Metalicana for Iron Dragon Slayer training. But soon, you'll need to go back to me so you can train your healing magic." Grandine said as she turned into a large, scaled dragon. Lucy sub consciously got onto the dragon's back and when she took flight, Lucy smiled. The wind on her sweating face was cool and relaxing. Then, Grandine landed in front of Igneel. The pink haired dragon smirked at Lucy when she arrived. Lucy leaped off Grandine, immediately in a battle stance when she landed on the grass.
"Ah, nice entrance," Igneel nodded approvingly. "Now, to train with my future daughter-in-law."
"Natsu and I are not getting married! I-I would never! Not after what he did." She whispered the last sentence, hoping Igneel wouldn't hear. When he raised his eyebrows in confusion, Lucy cursed under her breath.
Stupid Dragon hearing! Lucy thought dumbly.
"What did Natsu do?" Igneel asked.
"Huh? N-nothing! Shall we begin training?" Lucy laughed nervously.
"Okay...do you want to practice or spar?" Igneel asked.
"Spar."
"Think you'll beat me?" He challenged.
"Yep," Lucy said. "Wait...should I use Fire Dragon Slayer magic? Or can I use the other kinds too?" She felt overly confident for some reason. Igneel took a moment to ponder the thought before answering.
"For now, you should use Fire Dragon Slayer magic. But if things become too difficult, you can use the magic you learned from the other Dragons." He answered. Lucy gave a curt nod in understanding.
"Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon!" Igneel charged at her, his right fist engulfed in scarlet flames.
"Roar of the Fire Dragon!" Lucy shouted, but the attack rendered useless the dragon. Igneel's fire attack caused her to see bright lights from the pain.
I guess I should use some of the other Dragon Slayer magic, thought Lucy as she held two hands around her lips.
"Roar of the Iron Dragon!" She announced. The gray smoke clouded Igneel, making it so she couldn't see him.
"Wing Slash of the Fire Dragon!" Igneel snuck up on her and attacked.
"Still standing after this? You've gotten better over these two years  of training." He nodded approvingly. Lucy coughed and held her hands up in surrender.
"I give up," She hacked. "I'm done for today. Can I go back to the palace?" She asked.
"Fine." Igneel grumbled as he transformed into his dragon-self.
"Thanks." Lucy got on and instead of sitting down, she lay face up on Igneel's back.
"Igneel?" Lucy said while they were in the air.
"Yes, future Daughter-in-Law?" He replied.
"When will I get my own Exceed?" She ignored the 'Daughter-in-Law' comment, thinking about how all the Dragon Slayers at Fairy Tail had their own Exceed.
"On your fourth year of training." The Dragon guessed.
"Aww." Lucy complained as they arrived at the palace.

Wow, when I read over this chapter, I noticed that there isn't much happening here...I'm really sorry about that! I promise that I'll try to make the next chapter and so on more exciting.
