Chapter 2

I couldn't see anything the entire time, but I could hear, smell, feel, and think way more than I preferred. While being transported to the hospital, I had to be lifted up onto a stretcher. I could feel everybody's eyes on me and I despised it.

The people taking care of me must have been doing this for a while, because even though I couldn't really move or speak at all, they could tell exactly what I needed or was thinking.

Currently, I am in the ambulance being transported to the hospital. No one is really talking at the moment, and if they are I guess I can't hear them.

Even through all the pain I was in, I couldn't help but think about that voice that was talking to me earlier in my head. I wasn't controlling that voice, it was almost as if an outside force was making its way into my head to talk to me. It was a comforting voice, too. It made me feel at peace.

"Her heart beat is starting to slow down! Come here!" Someone suddenly yelled, panic soon filled my body. Am I dying?

The hands on my chest were pounding into my ribs, it hurt so incredibly bad.

They're helping you, just sit still and try to breathe more.

As soon as I heard the voice again my mouth opened and air filled my lungs quickly, they stopped pounding my chest but the amount of air that I took in caused me to start coughing, painfully coughing.

"You're alright, just stay with us dear," A female paramedic told me, it would be a hell of a lot easier to stay with you if you didn't bang on my chest.

My mind focused back onto the voice I had just heard again, it was so familiar.

"Who are you?" I asked aloud.

"My name is Melody-"the paramedic started to talk and I got so annoyed I shushed her.

"Not you! The voice in my head..." there was a minute of silence before Melody began to chime in again with her unnecessary opinion.

"You hit you head pretty hard, there's no one in your head. Don't worry though, those voices will stop soon," She sounded like she was doing things while she was talking.

I let out a groan and finally opened my eyes, the lady was a black women with dark curly hair. She seemed focused on what she was doing. I observed her while she was taking a syringe and filling it with a clear substance from a tiny bottle.

"What's that for?" I questioned her, trying to grab at her hand.

She called over another person, this one was a man. When he approached me I began to get nervous, why do they need two people?

"Hold her down for me, Roger." Melody said under her breath.

"Huh?" I muttered, beginning to become confused.

I didn't even have strength to fight these people back, and the voice in my head told me to work with them, but when Melody began to flick the syringe, I might have freaked out a little bit.

I started to try to kick my legs, but my joints were in so much pain I just collapsed back down onto the bed.

Helplessly, I watched the needle enter my arm, but I didn't feel anything.

"No more, no more..." I kept whispering to them.

Go to sleep, when you wake up everything will be alright. The voice spoke to me again, oddly enough calming and adding to my nerves.

I shut my eyes and let the darkness consume me.
