hey !! so this book will be about u in high school, and there'll be 5sos of course, who play in a small band, and are the hottest shit in school. you're really into them, but are they into you?
im really looking forward to making new friends and getting over social anxiety but that probably wouldn't happen so let's forget that.
so i walk in to school and i see a bunch of girls strutting along, thinking they're the shit but honestly, i disagree.
i saw four really cute boys playing outside school earlier on. are they from here? they look pretty old to be in high school, tbh. but they were cute, just saying.
so i got back to class hurriedly, hoping I'd see my bestfs, megan and rachel, and yup they were there.
" hey y/n !! over here !! " they shouted over to me.
i brisked-walked through class and scanned everyone's faces just to make sure there aren't any jerks or whatever you would call boys that buLLY girls like me.
I walked over to megan and rachel, but you had to sit in pairs and they were already sitting together, so I sat behind them, the last row.
there was an empty seat beside me and honestly, I hoped no one would sit there.
5 minutes till class starts.
the seat beside me is still empty, guess it's my lucky day :))
i start taking out my textbooks and pencil case, and have a sip of water.
2 minutes till class starts.
" omg babe did u see those guys outside school ?? " megan asks.
those four cute boys?
" yeah, yeah I did, " i replied.
" well i heard they make their own music, how cool is that? " she said.
" one of them stared at me !! god, they're so - cute. " rachel said.
i felt this sick feeling in my stomach.
" no, of course he didn't, " i blurted.
" he did !! just because you're jealous doesn't mean you can be bitchy, "
" hey, i'm not - "
i stopped mid-sentence as the teacher clapped for silence.
" good morning class, how is your Monday morning going? " the teacher asked.
the class groaned and i heard some muffled answers.
" Well, how enlightening! my name is Mrs Pereira and i am your form teacher, " she introduced, " ill be teaching you chrmistry. now let me just take the attendance first. when your name is called, say "present", you know the drill, "
a few minutes passed and everyone was accounted for except for one person.
" what a shame, he missed the first day of school," Mrs Pereira said and the class snickered.
" well today we're gonna start on -"
" um, morning teach," a voice came from the doorway.
" my name is Mrs Pereira and you're supposed to be back in class, "
" I believe this is my class, " he said, shifting his weight from one feet to another and pulling on his backpack straps.
Mrs Pereira scrambled, looking for her attendance file.
"Mr. Hemmings," she read out loud, "what is the reason you're late?"
she closed the file loudly.
"with all due respect, Mrs Pereira, I am only a minute late, "
wow, this guy's bold. and cute. wait wasn't he one of they guys singing outside school?
explains the guitar bag he's carrying.
"a minute late is still late, but I do not wish to waste lesson time so find a seat and dont be late next time," she said.

he walked around class in a really cool manner before sitting beside me.
like, the seat beside me.
holy 💩 he looks so good up close.
Rachel turned around and looked at me with wide eyes. I did the same.
"what is she gonna teach us?" he asked without looking at me, but in his bag.
was this question directed at me or..
omg he talked to me !!
a cute boy talked to me :)) !!
"uh, chemistry," i answered in a small voice.
god, i wish I could be normal.
"woops I don't have those books, mind sharing yours with me, babygirl?"
babygirl?
since when was I ever anyone's 'babygirl'?
this guy is killing me.
"sure," I said blushing red-hot.
"thanks ♡" he said.
he pushed his chair nearer to mine so he could see and i could smell his boy smell.
like the good type, he smells like laundry and reminds me of soft things.
he's so warm.
I felt the urge to just glance at him, and when I did, i saw him looking at me.
I quickly looked away cause I was embarrassed.
"what's your name?" he asked suddenly.
"y/n," i said shyly.
"cute" he replied, smirking.
why'd he smirk like that?
"im luke, and you're cute," he said.
looks like school isn't gonna be boring at all.
