(Karen(Jesse's mom's) pov):
Every night I cry myself to sleep, wondering of I will ever see my beloved daughter again. The world around me is crashing, with a severe paranormal disease sweeping the globe in a deathly cloud of dust and decay. My husband, Chris, has already caught it, being quarantined as soon as he showed signs of the horrible disease.
I now live alone, in a cottage deep in the undiscovered, dense forest of Newfoundland, Canada. Every now and then you can hear a shrill wolf howling in the distance.
(Jesse's pov):
I'm in shock. My mind is racing around trying to pick up on everything around me. I look at Ace with sorrowing eyes. I know he's in pain, hanging his head and limping helplessly towards me. He looks up, his eyes meeting directly with mine. My eyes begin to water and I fall to my knees. Ace drags himself over to me and rests his head against my leg. We fall asleep like this, like two old friends laughing it up about their old memories.
