Chapter 11

Lola P.O.V

"Wake up bruh, your ass late for school." August said hitting a pan with a spoon. I looked at him with an annoyed expression. "How do you manage to wake up so early and like are you sure you okay? A pan, seriously?" I groaned getting out of bed. I made my way to the bathroom and showered for 15 minutes since I was already late, I made my way to my closet and decided to put on sweatpants and a hoodie, I tied my hair into a messy bun and made my way to the kitchen.

"Hey Selena." I made my way to the fridge to grab a granola bar as it was too late for me too eat anything. I don't ride with Jade to school anymore because August drops me off or his bodyguard Brutus.

"August" I yelled, as I had no idea where he was. "Study." He yelled back. "Ugh" I groaned "Can you give me a lift to school?" I asked since Brutus wasn't around. "Bus." He smiled, continuing to go through the files he was looking at. "Seriously? You so useless." I said walking out. "Hol' up" I turned around and lifted my eyebrow waiting for him to continue "You can drive right? Don't scratch my shit, take the black rolls Royce." He threw me the key and winked at me. "Thanks" I quickly made my way to the garage.

His shit is too neat and smells just like him. I pulled out of the garage and made my way to school. "Damn, it's packed out here." I said to myself looking for a parking, I finally found one by the school entrance, for some reason no one liked to park here. I got out and speed walk inside. I made my way to the locker praying not to be seen by any teacher.

"You late Ms Davis, and you know you not allowed to be at the lockers after the bell has rung, hurry up." Our Principal Mrs Collins said. I quickly grabbed my history book and made my way to class. Surprisingly Mr Nel was not in class yet, I made my way to my sit in front and sat down. I didn't really associate myself with anyone beside Jade and unfortunately she wasn't in my history class. I took out my phone to listen to music, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see some girl, I think her name is Kehlani, Kayla, I honestly didn't know or care.

"Hey." she said smiling at me - a sincere smile. I gave her a dry head nod wondering why she was talking to me, I am not rude or anything but I preferred keeping to myself as I find it hard to trust anyone and to let anyone in.

"Uhm I really love your hair." She said, I frowned because I honestly didn't put any effort it was in a messy bun, I was so over this conversation. "Okay I wanted to know if you could help me with the history assignment, I honestly don't understand a thing." She said biting her nail. I cleared my throat, "Yeah, sure I will see when am free." I said turning back to the front putting my earphones when she tapped me again, seriously. "How about today? Can you give me your numbers so we can discuss it." I wanted her to leave badly so I could be alone. "Fine." I said, taking her phone and putting in my numbers.

"Okay everyone, settle down now, sorry for the delay." Mr Nel said walking to his desk. "Just a quick remainder, your assignment is due in 2 weeks, exactly  weeks, if it's a day late or even an hour I will not accept it." everyone started to mumble and groan. "I never asked for your opinions" He said folding his arms on his chest. 'For today you going to read through Napolean's empire in your textbooks and make notes, this is class work not homework." He sat down at his table and started marking down tests.

I was waiting at the locker for Jade, when I saw her coming with the girl from my history class. "Baaaaby." Jade said pulling me into a hug like she ain't see me at break. "Yeah, yeah took you long enough to get here" I said leaning up against the locker. "Bitch, it was Mrs Jones, ol' crusty ass who didn't want to dismiss us on time." I laughed at how dramatic she was. "Hey Lola." The girl finally spoke. "Hi Kayla" I said picking the first name that came to my mind. "It's Kehlani." She said with such a cute smile. "Same difference." I mumbled, I guess Jade heard cause she gave me a look.
