Chapter 13

Lola P.O.V

"Alex." I gasped dropping my books. This can't be happening. After when I thought I could move away from my past it comes right back to break me. I could feel my throat closing up and my eyes becoming watery. 

"I have been looking for you for years" He said moving close to me, I could move back and run but decided against it. "W-h-a-at do you want?" I managed to blurt out.

"I missed you" he said trying to touch me. "Don't!" I exclaimed and then I realized we were still in the middle of the hallway and everyone was looking. "I think you should leave." I said clearing out my throat, without a word he turned around and left.

I rushed into the bathroom and straight into the empty cubical. I couldn't help the tears that rolled down my cheeks. I started feeling very sick and decided to just go to the office and ask for permission to leave. I made my way out of the toilet when I bumped into someone.

"Lola" Lani spoke causing me to look up. "Damn, you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost."

"I wish it was a ghost." I said, trying to get the picture of Alex out of my head. Alex was my mother's ex-husband, the unbelievable bastard who used to molest me and then when my mother found out she accused me of wanting to steal her husband and seducing him. All she did was file for a divorce against him but still blamed everything on me.

"Where you heading to?" She asked as we made our way down the school corridors. "Am feeling a little sick so I will be heading home." 

"Let me drive you, if that's okay." without saying a word I nodded and we made our way to the quiet parking lot.

We made our way into August's front door, I didn't even bother calling for him cause I guessed he was not home. "I will be back" I said to Kehlani, leaving her in the living room and making my way upstairs to me and August's room. I walked in to see August looking at something that resembled a picture in his hand.

"Hey." I said softly. "Sup ma, why you here school ain't out yet" He said folding up the picture and placing it in his pocket, for some reason he looked very nervous.

"Uhm yeah, I ain't feeling well so I left school early." I said sitting on the other side of the bed and putting on my fenty Puma fur slipper. I began to walk out the room when I heard August speak "Lola, we need to talk." He said putting his face in his hand. "Does it have to be now? I have a visitor." I said leaning against the door frame, wondering if am about to become homeless. "Actually y-" He got interrupted by his phone ringing, he looked at the screen and sighed lowly. "Excuse me" He said walking past me and making his way into the other room.

August P.O.V

I made my way into the extra room and closed the door behind me.

August: Wassup now Asia? I thought I made it clear that you shouldn't call me unless there is something wrong.

Asia: Au-g-ust, please come

She was hysterically it was even almost impossible to hear her.

August: Ssh Asia, where you at?

Asia: At t-hhe crib

Without a word I hanged up, I made my way quickly into my room grabbed my car keys and rushed down the stairs, I heard Lola and some other female laughing in the sitting room. I tried sneaking out the door but my ass got caught.

"You going somewhere?" Lola asked raising an eyebrow and crossing her hands.

"Uhm nah, I mean yes" I cursed under my breath "I need to go see Craig" I lied, ofcourse I couldn't tell her yet, especially not like this, I know me and Lola didn't make things between us official but she still mine and I wouldn't want to hurt her.
