Chapter 25

"That doesn't go there!" Mikey screams at Mike. Mike hurried and moved the table back a little causing Mikey to say thank you.

Today was finally the day I learn what lovebug is. I'm so excited.

Mikey ordered a cake that shows the gender. She won't let anybody near it.

She literally locked the fridge up.

Mikey was currently getting everything up while Hayes and Nash went to go pick up the boys. Since they were to lazy to drive. Idiots.

I was sitting on the porch swing playing with Aidan. 

"Elena! Look!" Aidan's holds up a flower. I smile and take it from him.

"Is this for me?" I ask smile.

"Yeah! And lovebug!" He laughs.

"So what do you think I will have?" I ask him.

"I'm hoping a little boy for me to play with. But if you're having a girl, that would be cool too." He shrugs.

"Will you protect her if I have a girl?"

"I wouldn't just protect her! I would love her and let her be my sister! I guess she could play with me too. But no barbies." His face scrunched up.

"The party has arrived!" Cameron yells walking through to the backyard.

"Alright buddy, don't get too hyped." Nash laughs and pats  his shoulder.

"Hey." Hayes smiles and sits next to me.

"Hello." I smile back.

"Elena? Are you and Hayes in love?" Aidan asks.

Both of our eyes widen and look at him.

"No- no what made you think that?" Hayes laughs.

"Because my mommy and daddy said when you have a baby you love each other." He says playing with his action figure.

I didn't know what to say. I'm not in love with Hayes. Honestly, I think I may like Mike.

"Alright guys! Now cake!" Mikey excitably said and ran over to the cake.

"You ready for this?" I ask turning to Hayes.

"Ready." He says.

Everyone stands around the table and me and Hayes.

I look at the cake. I'm about to find out what I'm having. Wow.

I look at the knife next to me.

"Elena?" Hayes says getting my intention.

I nod my head and pick up the knife.

"Okay. Let's do this."

I  close my eyes, "You do it. I can't." I say handing the knife to Hayes.

After a minutes people started to cheer.

"Go ahead and say I told you so." Hayes says and takes my hands away from my eyes.

I smile and stay to laugh.

"Why are you-"

I cut Hayes off, "I told you so!" I laugh but they soon turned into cries.

Hayes hugs me as I cry. "Why are you crying?" He asks caressing my hair.

"I'm- I'm just s-so hap-py." I cry.

Hayes laughs and I glare at him.

"Come on, let's eat some cake." He says. I dry my tears and nod.

"Congrats guys, I'm gonna miss you Elena." Cameron says and hugs me.

"Are you sure you can't come?" Taylor pleads.

"I'm sorry." I pout.

"Come on guys." Matt says sadly.

Then Hayes and Nash took them home.

"Did you have fun?" I hear someone ask from behind me.

I turn around and face Mike.

"Yeah." I smile. I was a little sad about Hayes leaving in two days but I really think it's for the best. Plus he'll be back in two weeks.

"You seem sad. What's going on?" Mike says and touches my arm.

We both walk to the living room and sit on the couch.

"Hayes is leaving to go back on tour and its stupid that I'm sad about it because he'll be back in two weeks." I sigh.

"It's not stupid that you're sad. He is the Lovebugs father. You guys have a connection." He says.

I sigh again and nod.

"I'll be here when he isn't okay, Elena?" He hugs me. When we pull back he stares at me a second before looking down at my lips then back at my eyes.

He starts to slowly lean in and we both close our eyes.

Holy shit he's going to kiss me.

Our lips hover over each other before Mike smashes his to mine.

Nothing.

I jump when I hear the front door close.

Hayes was there staring at both of us.

He looked like he was about to burst. He runs up the stairs before I could get up to talk to him.

"I'm sorry." Mike says.

"It's fine." I sigh, "I'm going to go talk to him." He nods and i get up. 

I walk up the stairs to Hayes room and knock on his door.

"Hayes?" I say.

He opens the door with a blank face.

"Hayes listen I'm so-"

"No. I get it. I'm not who you want. Go be with Mike. Go be with whoever you want. I know I'm not who you want I never will be. She probably doesn't even want me to be with you. Go ahead and l-"

I cut him off by kissing him.

Sparks.

More than sparks. It was like fireworks exploding. It was better than the first. It started just like the first. Me not knowing why I did it. But I know it's right.

I know I need to be with Hayes.
