Chapter 8

*AUTUMN'S POV*

When Harry wrapped his arm around me, I got a huge wave of butterfly's in my stomach. He took his arm off me and I frowned.

"Alight, we should uh, we should go back up stairs now." I nodded and we went back into the house and up the stairs. I decided to go back into the bathroom and wash up the remainder of my cuts from the glass. It stung a little, but not too bad. My legs got most of the damage, and while I was rolling up my leggings it hurt, a lot. I cringed when I saw how big the cuts were, I washed them off and changed into better clothes, ones that weren't ripped up. I got one of my big baggy sweaters and put on another pair of black leggings. I brushed my hair and put my black Toms on. I looked decent, than there was a knock on the door.

"Love, are you ready?" That voice I believe belonged to, Zayn? I opened the door and he was standing there smiling down at me. He towered over me, so did all the other boys too though.

I smiled back and walked over to Louis, but I thought there were five of them, where's the blond kid?

"His name is Niall, and since he's a new born like you, he can't control himself over the smell of blood, and you already know that, so we locked him in a room back home. Which is why we better go now." Louis explained to me, I nodded but was getting tired of that mind reading thing. We walked down stairs and opened the front door. The cold night breeze hit me and the moon's light was bright.

I sniffed the air, I could smell all kinds of different things, but mostly animals. That's when my stomach started to grumble, I was getting hungry, besides I haven't ate anything ever since, the "incident."

I walked down the steps to the sidewalk, sniffing the air, I swear I could smell some sort of animal right now.

"Hey uh Autumn, what're you doing?" I got out of my strange stage and looked over to all four boys staring at me.

I blushed, "Um, I'm kinda hungry. I haven't ate anything since the day I left home." They nodded and Liam spoke up.

"Ok, we'll go back home and I can take you out to get some-"

"No Liam, I need, something else," I interrupted him. He gave me a questioning look.

"What'd you mean?"

"Jesus Liam you're so stupid! She needs to go hunting!" Louis told him while chuckling.

"Oh uh, well you can go with us then, we have to go hunting anyways." Liam stated and I nodded.

"Race you guys back home," Louis said and sprinted off.

"Hey!" They all yelled and I giggled, the rest of them ran off and that left me alone. I walked on the sidewalk and kicked a rock while thinking, what if they lost control and bit me, what if they get mad and attacked me?

I kept thinking of all the possible things they could do to me but than stopped in my tracks when I heard a sound. I turned around, but nothing was there.

"Harry, Louis? Is anyone out there?" Two seconds later Harry was in front of me.

"What is it, are you ok?" He asked me worriedly.

"I think someone's here." I whispered in his ear, he held on to me.

"Don't worry love, if anyone's out there I'll protect you. But it was probably me, I was in the forest looking for food." He chuckled.

Before I could say anything he picked me up and I dug my head into his shoulder as he sprinted back to the house.

He opened up the door and set me down. The boys were all in the kitchen talking. I walked over to see them, but noticed someone was missing.

"Where's Niall?" The boys all looked at each other with wide eyes.

"Oops." They all laughed while Liam raced up the stairs and back down, "I might've forgotten to let him out and give his sight back. But no smelling still! Autumn's blood scent is too strong."

Then we heard a loud crash, and Niall came rolling down the stairs. I covered my mouth trying not to laugh. He got up and walked over to the living room, but instead he bumped into a wall.

"Oh uh here's your sight back lad!" Liam said and blinked towards Niall. Niall stopped walking and turned to face us.

"Geez thanks, it was so dark!" Niall exclaimed as we all laughed, but we were soon silenced by the front door slamming, and in came a laughing Louis, "Autumn, it was me in the woods! You get so easily scared!"
